I have taken my dog several times to Fancy Finish for a wash and cut and had been pleased with the service until today. First, I don't understand why my dog needed to be left there for over 4 hours. It does not take that long to wash and cut her. When I dropped her off there was one dog in the middle of being shaved and another dog arrived shortly after we did, so the LONG DELAY seems very unnecessary to me. Second, I had requested a short shave for my dog for the summer but requested that the tail and head be faded. This was not what my dog received. The tail and head had absolutely no fading/blending from the shaved body. The transitions were blunt to say the least. Third, when I arrived to pick up my pooch the lady mentioned my dog by name and said she was very matted. However, as she said this she was bringing out the WRONG DOG to me. I politely pointed to my poor dog that was barking in her cage and said that she was mine. The dogs did not even somewhat resemble each other! She apologized and we made jokes about it but it really did strike a nerve with me. I had been there to drop-off and pick-up my dog many times and she was handing over someone else?s dog. Finally, I was so anxious to leave with my dog that I handed the lady the cash ($45 plus a $10 tip) and I got out of there quickly. When I did get home I noticed that my dog had a large wound the size of a 50 cent piece. I could tell immediately that it was old but I was upset that the groomer did not feel the need to point it out to me. My dog is usually VERY FURRY, so something like that could have gone unnoticed but it is quite obvious when she is shaved. I will not take my dog there again. I hope to find a pet groomer who provides better service.
