If i could vote 0 stars or negative I would. I called to question why my annual checkup was coded as an outpatient visit costing myself $150 out of my pocket. It was because the NP (I've never once seen the actual doctor by the way). I was told everything would be coded as an annual check-up so insurance would cover it and it was coded as an outpatient visit.
The first person I talked to in billing was very argumentative and childish and even mocked me and talked in a whining voice. When I asked her name, she gave me what turned out to be a fake name and promptly hung up on me. I called back later to speak with the office manager, she said it was my fault for not declining the treatment. I explained that I didn't know their office protocol and was told it would still be coded as an annual checkup. I stayed calm and professional even though she was extremely defensive, argumentative and beyond rude. When I brought up the fake name and rude services earlier, she said that has nothing to do with your situation and has no impact. I caught her going back on what she said earlier on the conversation and she tried to flip it that I was making it up. I told her she was being unprofessional and she responded with ""K, thanks. not my problem. Bye."" and hung up.
Absolutely unprofessional, don't care about their patients, and I will NEVER be returning.
