Absolutely the Worst Staff I have ever encountered! After waiting 1 1/2 months for my Contact prescription to be filled I then find out that they never placed the order. I was told ""It was my fault that they did not fill it"". This is after I PAID for the Initial visit "" as I was told to by the staff"", and was then told to pay for the contacts Upon Picking them up. After waiting 1.5 months I was then told I was supposed to pay for them at checkout. They were never ordered. I PAID what I was Told to Pay at the time. Soooooo After being very very very RUDELY told by the Office Manager ""Candy"" plus Jazman that it was my fault the contacts were never ordered, but Candy did say that the order SAT in Her DESK.... Hmmmm My Fault.. Right!! The sad thing is that I love Dr. Ohriner, and he has been my Optometrist for years... Time to get NEW Staff Dr. Ohriner.... They have perfected the ""Blame the Patient"" role. more

Horrible Service. Doctor is good, but office staff is bad. wait times are very long and it's been 4 months waiting for my contacts. office manager gets super defensive and mean real quick. save yourself the trouble. more

Do not go to Dr. Ohriner. The contact 5/29/2012

Do not go to Dr. Ohriner. The contact prescription he gave me were too strong that it gave me headaches when I first tried them. When I went back, he had me try different kinds of lenses that didn't fit right. He told me I needed reading glasses. I had an uncomfortable feeling that their just after my money. I sought a second opinion because I didn't trust him. Turns out I didn't need reading glasses (I'm only 22) & I don't have astigmatism despite what Dr. Ohriner said. Their staff needs to step up their service. This place makes you wait twice-one just for a prescreening then finally for the Dr. It's just a real inconvenience and hassle to come here. They also charge you to try their trial pair of contacts. Dr. Long Kevin Diep on Spring Mtn doesn't do that & they give free contact solution samples. Bottom Line: I would avoid this place. They just give you more problems & is after your money. I recommend Dr. Long Kevin Diep. He's more accurate on his exams & their staff is on point. I no longer want to be a patient at this family eye care. It's not worth it. Pros: null Cons: null more

Highly recommended 12/30/2009

I lived in Las Vegas for 8 years and Dr. Ohriner was our doctor the majority of the time. We had bad experiences with other optometrists in town, but never with Dr. Ohriner. My family was frequently in the waiting room. Everyone was treated with the utmost respect. Yes, it might take longer to get your glasses, but the personal attention is worth a bit more time. Dr. Ohriner is extremely knowledgeable about many medical areas, not just optometry, so he understands factors that might affect one's eyesight. For example, he pointed out to me that stress can worsen your sight. For years, I went from one prescription to another, depending on my stress level. He suggested that I might benefit from anti-depressants, as some of his other patients had. He was right. For the past 6 years, my prescription has remained the same and even more importantly, I've been in good mental and physical health. So he takes a more holistic approach, taking the whole body into consideration. more

Worst Experience Ever 6/22/2009

I just wanted to thank him for providing me with the worst experience I?ve yet had purchasing eye wear. In the past few weeks, I?ve spent $735 in his office in order to have my time wasted and to be treated with cavalier disregard. Needless to say, he?s managed to lose any future business I may have brought his way and any good recommendations I may have passed on to other potential clients. I received a call saying that a pair of glasses were ready, and yet when I arrived to collect them, I was forced to wait while the tint was adjusted. There is absolutely no reason that this couldn?t have been done long before my arrival. I would invoice him for the wasted time, but I?m pretty sure he wouldn?t pay. The second pair of glasses which, when I paid for them, I specifically said needed to be ready on a specific day, apparently had to be returned to the manufacturer in order to have the strength adjusted. I can?t remember the exact excuse, but it was punctuated by some more

I can’t remember the exact excuse, but it was punctuated by something like…’we have no control…’ The trouble with this is that the buck was passed to the manufacturer leaving me, as a consumer, adrift between Ohriner as a vendor and this supplier. \r \r So here’s ‘How not to Treat a Client 101’: Never dump a client between a vendor and a supplier. The vendor is the only one identifiable by the consumer and it is the vendor who loses.\r \r I suppose he can get away with such bad service, given Las Vegas’ transient population. But his customer service won’t help much in developing repeat clients.\r Cons: Attitude, Service more
