Spiritual Guidance or Heresy 3/22/2011

Like all trouble souls who had reached a low period in their lives; I went to Faith Farm in Ft. Lauderdale for help and guidance in kicking my addictions to drugs and alcohol. It is a residential program where everyone works, goes to classes, and lots of Church with much spiritual propaganda mixed in for good measure. As soon as it was found out that I had a valid drivers licence, they put me to work driving a truck with a helper that they call the navigator. We would work all day picking up furniture, bria a brac, and general used stuff to sell at used product stores. We would do this 6 days a week for a grand total paycheck of $18.00 dollars a week when divided by 6 equals 3 dollars a day for 9 hours work. Not bad when you consider that everything they sell ends up being pure profit. Enough on the cheap labor exploitations of this church. I am Catholic and they didn't like that from the beginning. The supposed teachers were nothing more than a bunch of hypocritical selfpoised religious know it alls that preached their own false doctrines about the bible. Mind you, ""about the bible"" not ""from the bible"". I went through this program up until I was going to be in Alpha House. This is the last leg of your journey at Faith Farm. I was told by one of the Instructors, Brother Gary that if I didn't renounce Catholicism, and get baptized in their church, that I would burn in Hell for an eternity. That was the final straw for myself. I left the program and have been doing well ever since. Sometimes change is good, any change at that. I will aggree on that. But never addressing the core of your substance abuse problems and always saying ""it's the Devil"" or blaming it on the Devil is downright ludicrous. If you want to put your problems on hold for a bit and let them simmer, go to Faith Farm. If you really want to help yourself, get into a church that preaches the true gospel and doesn't deviate from Gods true word. Have fellowship with good people, and most definitely don't have anything to do with your old drinking and drugging buddies. Amen, DB more

Strange 5/19/2007

THeir church in Okeechobee has the most supid man as pasotr that I have ever met. He is the borther in law of the man that is in charge of the place. I used to attend when they had a different pasotr but now that this idiot and his biddy of a wife have the church I would rather visit hell on a weekly basis. The pastor of the boynton church is no better. His wife is the most hypocritical crazy lady I have ever met and their daughter is even stranger. Talk about a cold unwelcoming place!!!!!!!! Their Ft. Lauderdale church doesn't even have a pastor so I guess they could find no one to fit their cultish practices. Pros: good if you want to meet satan and his wife Cons: It is a nut house more
