I was shopping in the area and happened to walk by...spotted the huge selection eye glass frames through the window and went in to look. Friendly staff and funny too. Thought it would be a great fit..needed a new eye dr. anyway. I immediately picked out two pairs of frames (which I did not end up getting but wish I had) and went back two days later to see dr. Liked Dr. Sladky...he was professional but easy going. I went out front to look at frames and sat down with a very nice gal. Nick..the older guy, went straight for the designer frames...which I did not see on my first trip in. Long story short...I ended up buying 3 pairs ..one pair were sunglasses. Nick went back and forth to the designer frames..which I had missed the first time I looked. I never did buy the Lucky Purple ones I first fell in love with. Got Gucci and two pair of Juicy Coutoure. Watch out for that!! Nobody's fault but my own...except I really believed him when he kept saying how gorgeous I looked, etc. Progressive Glasses were finished in 10 days...got em fit..sunglasses were sent elsewhere (they said) and never did come in! I heard excuse after strange excuse..blah blah blah...after two months I got my money back...and a starbucks card for my troubles. Went on vacation without the sunglasses. They said dr. wanted to buy me a cup of coffee...explain the Starbucks dealio..but never used it. I just felt like I went to a car lot instead an optometrist..ya know? I go in to buy a Chevy and come out with a Jag! I also wonder about how much progressive lense is in my lenses...have trouble reading with them. Especially my Iphone! I got extra glare protection (paid for) but wonder if they put it in. Does not seem like it.. I paid 800 bucks..beyond what Insurance paid. It won't happen again. Most importantly...they never called me to give me updates on the status of my sunglasses...I always had to call them. grrrrr. Well...Nick finally called after two months to tell me the frames came in but not finished with lenses!??? more

Background: Just moved to Sac and looking for a new OD, been wearing glasses and contacts for 21 years! Have had to multiple OD's. Experience: I have pretty horrible vision and have had major problems in the past with my eyes, so I am very specific and savy when it comes to visiting an OD. Dr. Sladky was fine did everything he was supposed to, as noted in other posts he does talk a lot, but he also listens when you're talking. I was having an ok time until the frame selection came along. I specifically told the sales people, "I'm cheap, so if it's not in my plan I don't want it." We went to a separate room and STRIKE 1: They showed me the ugliest and most out of date frames I have ever seen and that was all in my plan . . . . umm my plan covers $120 on frames, you mean to tell me only ugly frames are $120??? How does Walmart have the $39 frames then? STRIKE 2 came as I was listening to the sales manager talk up a pair of Prada frames to a poor lady. Yeah they look good, but really the other ones she had for $200 less looked just as nice (a little nicer in my opinion). Finally, I went in to pick up my perscription after deciding to just order from my usual place and STRIKE 3 they refused to write down the PD with the manager saying, "It's your perscription, but the PD is mine." Ummm they're my eyes nimrod, I can get the PD too. AND my contact perscription was incomplete on top of that. . . . OK I get I wasn't ordering from you, but I might have gone back for a yearly script now I for sure won't!!! more

I have been going there since 2008, the Dr. is good at what he does. Although he talks incessantly about his products and can be confusing. His new staff though is why I will most likely not be going back. The manager is a great sales man and thats all he is there for. You will walk out thinking this man helped with picking out a pair of glasses only to find he didn't . I got stuck with just the fugliest pair of glasses believing every word this guy said. And store credit is a joke, they owed me money so they "let me have a free pair' of glasses and said they were just given to them from vendors for show--- that's store credit......the ugliest glasses money can't buy. So I am out the money they owed me because of the switcharoo plus I have the ugliest glasses I have ever had. more

They have a great salesman and that's all they have. NO SERVICE AFTER THE SALES HAD BEEN MADE!!!!! Bought a pair of prescription sunglasses and was promised that it would take about 2 weeks. One month later, no glasses and no call from shop to update on why it took soooooooooo long. I finally called and they gave some excuses that they had problems with the manufacture and was promised to get updates on the progress. No calls until 10 days later saying the glasses was ready. I would no go back to this shop. IF YOU DON'T MIND WAITING MORE 6 WEEKS FOR A PAIR OF GLASSES, THIS IS YOUR SHOP. more

I had gone to get glasses at Lens Crafters but could not even wear them because of migrane headaches with the new prescription. They simply would not fix them. So I stopped by Eyelusions and told them what had happened. They not only found the error in the way Lens Crafters had made my glasses but sat down and explianed how and why they gave me such terrible headaches. In just a matter of a few days I had my new glasses that were just perfect. They even used my frames I had purchased from Lens Crafters. Thank you so much Eyelusions.. I am a customer for life. more

The doctor was very thorough and easy going. The staff was great. I will definately be coming back next year. more

The doctor was very pleasant. The office atmosphere was very professional yet fun. I am completely satisfied with the new staff and the new doctor . My glasses came out fantastic! They were able to help me get the most from my benefits. I cant wait to come back next year!! :) more

I just had an eye exam and got glasses. They have a new doctor and staff who were friendly and quite helpful. The long haired guy that helped me was really cool, he fixed my old glasses for free. They had a lot of frames to choose from. I was very satisfied with my experience there. Pros: Lots of glasses to choose from, friendly staff more

This place is not the best place. The focus of the doctor is to sell you something and to make sure they get your money. The exam was more an infomarcial. more
