RUN, RUN, RUN!! 9/18/2014

I was looking for a new local Optomitrist for my daughter and found this place because it was convenient to my home. This place is so unorganized and their staff turnaround is extremely high! The first time i went there, the building was closed and we had an appointment that morning but the staff was extremely late. Then I noticed their selection of frames look like they haven't been updated since 1998. We proceeded with the exam then wanted my daughters prescription to go elsewhere and buy frames but had trouble obtaining that. Then when i did recieve the prescription and went somewhere else i was told that they (Eyeland) billed me for frames i did not receive from them. This place needs to shut down immediately and I would NEVER REFER ANYONE, NOT EVEN A BLIND PERSON TO THIS PLACE! Please seek other places! Check your receipts for fraudulent billing! more

Eyeland Vision, Katy 12/14/2011

Just over two years ago I spent over $400 for a pair of glasses at Eyeland. It took over two weeks to get the glasses, and when they arrived the lenses were aligned incorrectly, so they had to go back. After another long wait, the glasses finally arrived and were correct. Recently the frame on the glasses broke, so I took them in and was told that they did not repair frames, and that I would have to buy a new frame. I paid for a new frame, and the glasses were sent to the lab. It took two weeks, and a call by me, to find out that the lenses had been cracked while removing the old frame from the lenses, and that I would have to buy new lenses. They refused to take responsibility for the broken lenses, saying that this often happened and was not their fault. They refused to make good on the lenses, so I said that I would just take my old glasses back, and take a refund of the money I paid for a new frame. They agreed to do this. They are very unprofessional. Any good business would have offered to replace the lenses at their expense. After all, the lenses were damaged while in their possession. more

Horrible place to get eye exam.. 6/22/2011

I had eye exam there recently for contacts. I think the doctor did horrible job. The lens that she recommended were very uncomfortable and i did not even see clearly. I complaint about that and doctor again told me same story as this is the best lens blah blah....she will just make you feel stupid and whatever she says is right even if its hurting your eyes badly and also other staff is ok. then I decided to get second opinion from some other doctor. surprise!!!! My prescription is totally different than the doctor norma gave me. I tried trial pair from other doctor and now i see much better and clear...i will not recommend this place to anybody. The doctor have very limited knowledge of things she is doing and staff will do everything to make you buy glasses and contacts from them... more

The eye doctor is great, but the rest of the place needs improvement... 10/16/2006

I needed an eye exam and new contacts, and I decided to visit Eyeland Vision because they sent me a promotional mailer that offered a great package deal. If I would have written my review the day that I had my appointment here, I probably would have given them four or five stars. I was very impressed with the optometrist, Dr. Nicole Noska. I have had many eye exams through the years and hers was one of the most thorough I have ever had. She talked to me about specific issues with my eyes and even identified that the redness and tearing I experience frequently is probably related to allergies. After my appointment, I had my fitting for my contacts and placed my order. Since I was getting the same brand that I had worn for years and my prescription hadn't changed much, I was told that I didn't need to schedule a "follow up" appointment. I was told that my contacts should be in within 3 to 5 business days. This is where the "fun" began. My contacts are supposed to be changed every two weeks. When it was close to the two week mark, I called to check on the status of my contacts. At first, they had difficulty even locating my information and then when they did, they told me that they had not yet placed the order because they were waiting for me to schedule a follow-up appointment. I told them that the doctor has said no follow up was needed and that she had conveyed this to the person who fit my contacts on the day of my appointment. They did not apologize and simply said that they would place the order and that they should arrive in 3 to 5 business days. After a week and a half, I happened to be in the area running errands and since I hadn't heard anything from them, I stopped in to check on the status of my contacts. It took about 20 minutes and three different employees before they could even locate my file. When they did, they told me that my contacts were on back order. I was frustrated that no one had bothered to contact me to let me know about this. I asked when I could expect them and they told me it was unknown at this point. I did ask for another "trial" pair in the meantime, and they did provide me with one. About a week later, they called to update me on the status and indicated that they were still on back order. It was six weeks from the date of my appointment before I actually received my contacts. Perhaps this was an isolated incident. They did mention that the company that they purchase their contacts from had recently merged with another company and that was the reason for the delay. I understand that things happen, but I think that in these situations, communication is key and I was very frustrating that they failed to keep me informed. As I mentioned initially, I thought the eye doctor was great, and I would definitely go back to her, but I would probably take my prescription and order glasses or contacts elsewhere based on this experience. They do take appointments and they allow for walk-ins. If you would like more information, you can visit their website at: http://www.eyelandvision.net more
