European Walking Store

\r \r \r \r First, I'd like to start off stating that I work for a local small business. I also work in a retail oriented environment. I know the importance of friendly customer service. I try to keep my dollars in local businesses. \r \r I went into the store today to purchase some shoes. One of the staff members helped me out. They didn't have my size of shoe that I was trying to buy. The owner happen to be there. (I've purchased about 10 pairs of shoes the course of the three years while I've worked in the area.) They did have the display available. The sales rep seemed new and asked the owner how to place the order. She asked why. The sales rep explained to her that they were out. I assured her I was in no hurry and I'd be happy to wait until they came in. (They've done this in the past.) She asked me with a very rude tone why I didn't want the display? I told her I'd rather not, I'd like a new pair that's all. She proceeded to tell me they were new and I should just go ahead and get them. I had to tell her again that I wasn't interested I'd really like to just get the new pair whenever it arrives. She was still mumbling under her breath. I didn't engage any further. As a courtesy they give employees of the local businesses a 10% discount with proof of employment. (So does my job) I told her I'm a employee in the village and was pulling out my business card. The employee asked the owner if the discount was 10%. She owner told her to give me $5 off. The cost of the shoes pre tax was $135.00. I told the sales rep to forget about it I'll get them elsewhere. The owner started yelling at me in front of everyone to get out she didn't need my business. She said I had a terrible attitude and she didn't need people like me in her store. I was not welcomed back. I was flabbergasted. I just replied that my attitude was not near as bad as hers and I hope she has a GREAT day. Boy if I dare treated people such as she did to me I'd never have my job or any clients. I don't know what's wrong with this woman. The only thing I can say is she is need of a lot of prayers. For her sake I hope she changes her ugly ways.\r more

I purchased a pair of Sanita shoes from this store about 3 weeks ago. Stephanie was very helpful and nice. She explained the benefits of the shoes, pros, cons, Sanita Vs. Dansko etc. more

I love this cute store. It is located in Rice Village-one of Houston's oldest and best-loved shopping destinations. The area is known for its wide variety of restaurants, nightlife venues and shopping. You can walk around, get a coffee, have some lunch, pick up some flowers, buy pair of clogs, etc. more

This is a really wonderful store. I had a pair of shoes I had brought back that just did not fit me right. The store Manager help me and made sure that I did not leave without finding comfortable pair of shoes.I really appreciate good customer service but he was great very professional.I highly recommend this store to anyone. more

I drive all the way from Clear Lake to go to this store. they have a great selection, I wish the store was larger. they've been helpful to me and I have found them to be the most stocked with high quality comfortable (yet pretty) shoes. I have taken things back and they were accommodating. Pros: GOOD SELECTION Cons: DIFFICULT LOCATION TO GET TO IN THE VILLAGE IF YOU LIVE IN THE SUBURBS, PARKING CAN BE A CHALLENCE more

BUYER BEWARE do NOT shop here. I was trusting enough not to look closely at the pair of shoes I got at this shady store. When I took them back after never wearing them, they wouldnt accept them saying they had been worn! This has to be the most blatant rip-off I have seen in ages. If you buy from this store, you dont know what you will get and you can kiss your money good-buy. more
