NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS PLACE. They are liars and very inconsiderate people at this place. I buried my brother in 2006 and all went well except it took forever to get his head stone done and placed. My mother just passed in March and we couldn't bury her the day WE WANTED we had to WAIT four extra days to do it on their time. Then what should have only taken 4-6 weeks to get the headstone done which was paid for and made ahead of time twenty years ago took them until the end of June. And the staff did nothing but lie to me about it. Finally after contacting the secretary of the CEO in Texas did I find out the truth that my mother bronze headstone had been melted down and they had to make a new one LIES LIES LIES. Do not pick this place, for your loved one you will regret it. And so this past Sunday I go to the grave to put flowers and I find that her ground had been dug up and there are tons of scratches all over her new bronze headstone and the flower vase was buried under the mess they made. There is so much more. But APLEASE IF YOU ARE SHOPPING AROUND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I wouldn't want my worst enemy there. I fact I purchased the plot next to my brother in 2006 when he died, but I am having it transferred or I will sell it. BUYER BEWARE. It may be beautiful in some areas of Eternal Valley, but the headache from the staff is not worth it. more

Agressive, rude staff members 7/18/2012

I have been transcribing this cemetery for over 3 years and have taken photos of more than 20,000 graves (including unmarked ones). Today I was totally harassed by 2 cemetery employees because I was taking pics of graves. Although I explained I do it as a genealogical volunteer, I was told that they don't allow photographs to be taken in their 'private property' cemetery. I also explained that I have family there and we bought grave sites, and the employee said I only paid for the right to have them buried there. He then decided to call the police so I couldn't continue taking pictures. I have never been treated so rudely at any cemetery where I have taken pictures of graves. If you are considering a cemetery to handle the arrangements of a loved one, don't use this place! more

Rest in Peace 3/31/2009

When my Father passed away he had already purchased his and my Mothers plot and made the arrangements at Eternal Valley. The death of a loved one is NEVER easy no matter how much you think you are prepared. There were more arrangements we had to pay for when he passed which was very unexpected and expensive, but the staff explained everything as easily as they could. When I visit my Fathers grave I feel peaceful there, it is a beautiful and serene place. more

The Grounds are Beautiful but the Staff is Very Inconsiderate. 12/14/2008

The people who now operate this cemetary are very rude and inconsiderate. Years ago, when my brother had his wife buried here the service was beautiful. When our mother passed away in 2008 we didn't receive the same treatment. They changed the date 3 times. The cost was far more than we expected. Don't be fooled by their so-called package prices! The service was rudely rushed. And they didn't provide all of the items that we had paid extra for . Pros: The grounds are beautiful. Cons: Customer service is very poor. Prices are too high. You may not get what you paid for. more

Friendly, Compassionate Staff 8/31/2008

I recently lost my mother to cancer. The Mortuary staff was so good to my family and me. The funeral director was such a kind and caring young man. Mom?s service went off perfectly! The cemetery grounds are beautiful. Pros: Friendly, compassionate staff Cons: None at all!! more

Very Compassionate 8/1/2008

Unfortunately I have had to be on the planning side of a funeral/burial more than once. The people at Eternal Valley were so helpful, compassionate and comforting. They handle EVERYTHING for us!!! They helped to comfort us at this very difficult time in our lives. more

Wonderful Staff 9/20/2007

My Mom recently passed away,We used Eternal Valley and found the staff to be very friendly.Losing my mom and having to plan her funeral was extremely difficult, but the staff at Eternal Valley made it easier for us,not only were they available to answer our questions,They went out of there way to make sure we were happy.there prices were very reasonable. If the need came,I definitely would use them again. Pros: Very professional and peaceful setting more

Poorly trained staff 5/29/2007

The cemetery was sold a few years ago and the customer service has declined since then. I buried my parents here in 1983 and received excellent service. When I arranged to bury my wife here in May 2007: high pressure sales tactics for mortuary services (which I did not use due to the high cost), tried to sell graves to my family while I was purchasing my wife's grave, very difficult to reach the staff by phone (days elapsed before a call back), all their records are manual so they constantly had to dig thru files to find information, they mischeduled my wife's funeral for the week following so they had to scramble at the last minute to open the grave for the service and most egregious, they discovered a "match error" in my contract and brought it to my attention in the middle of the burial and demanded that I give them payment before I left the cemetery. If the grounds were not so picturesque, I would not use them. Caveat emptor. Pros: Picturesque and well maintained grounds Cons: Insensitive and inexperienced staff more

Poor service 4/25/2007

The counselor they provided us provided inappropriately poor service at a time of grief and sadness. Initially they told us we had a definite date on the funeral, but were only later told that the day was booked and we had to delay the funeral one week. Second, pay attention to the contract and what they say in terms of payment which may be different. We were told and we signed a contract agreement about a montly payment for the burial plot. However, a week later we were told the total amount was due the day of the funeral. Nowhere in the contract did it say so. When confronted, our counselor stated she told my family this. So be warned. more
