Pros: clean, variety of equipment Cons: lack of weekend classes

Worst

This gym used to be really clean and a great deal for the price. I haven't gone in a year, and last week, I went back for the first time. Pros: Great Prices Cons: Stinky ...

so-so gym 7/11/2011

When this gym moved, I quit and was told that the auto-debits would stop immediately. They did not. Now I have to go back in to the new location (the reason I quit was it is too far away) to again request they stop taking my money. Badly managed. I hear it's a great facility, but management....not so great. more

Worst Gym in Seattle 9/17/2010

I was a member of this gym for 5 years when I finally decided to call it quits. I had switched lockers, but the weekend employee apparently didn't update their system. Three days later, I found my locker unlocked and note on it to contact management. Upon reviewing the contents of my locker, I found my tennis shoes, yoga towel and regular towel missing. April (the supposed Operations Manager) then took the description of my missing items and said that she would ""keep an eye out for them"". When I asked what would happen if they didn't show up, she indicated that the gym is not responsible for my ""lost items"". Besides the fact that April was completely rude to me, she's indicating that I'm lying about my locker being left open. This stance was supported by Merle and he even said, ""I don't understand why you're so upset?"". Uh gee, I have no idea why. more

Unscrupulous. They betrayed my trust 5/6/2010

I joined. I was promised month to month membership. After many questions, I signed up, believing this. Pros: clean. Cons: finance unstability, will not honor contractual promises more

Dirty, Poor Air Circulation, Very Badly Managed 4/15/2009

This place is awful. Pros: Location Cons: Dirty, Unresponsive Staff and Trainers, Poor Air Circulation more

Hoping They Can Save It... 1/10/2009

This gym used to be really clean and a great deal for the price. I haven't gone in a year, and last week, I went back for the first time. Pros: Great Prices Cons: Stinky and messy, steam room out of order. more

Horrible Management 12/6/2008

Do a little research on the president Merle and you'll discover that you probably don't want to support this place. He doesn't care about you, or his employees. My girlfriend worked there and I couldn't believe the way he treated his own employees. The people who enjoy themselves at Epicenter simply haven't ran into the person they're giving their money to yet. They also have sketchy billing policies that sometimes seem less like business practice and more like stealing. You also don't have to take my word for it, visit the ""B B B"" and check out their ""F"" rating. Cons: Management more

Nice and Clean 8/6/2007

Pros: clean, variety of equipment Cons: lack of weekend classes more

The Best Fitness Center in Seattle - Exceptional Customer Service, Highly Trained Staff 7/27/2007

Without a doubt the best fitness club that I have ever belonged to, and I have belonged to quite a few. From the moment you step into the Epicenter, it is all about you. The staff is highly knowledgeable and always there to help with any questions or concerns you might have. The gym has the most top notch equipment and most of it. This isn't the place that you are waitng forever to get on a treadmill or an elliptical, they have more than enough machines for all of your needs. Just go in and tour the Epicenter, you won't want to leave without becoming a part of the team. Pros: Service, Staff more

best fitness club in seattle! 7/27/2007

i have been a member of many different clubs throughout the years, and this gym is by far the best! i've been a member of the epicenter for 5 months now and i absolutely love it! from the moment i stepped in the club, the atmosphere has always been very inviting and everyone from the sales personel and personal trainers to those working at the front desk have been very helpful! although some of the mid-day classes can fill up quickly, i have never encountered any other problems with this gym. no matter what time i have gone in to workout, i have never had any problem finding a machine to workout at. honestly, everything from the lcd screens on the cardio equipment to the digital lockers available are top notch. compared to all the other fitness clubs i looked at in the downtown area, the epicenter had the best facilities at the best prices. if you are looking for a gym with the whole package, the epicenter is your best option in seattle! Pros: great customer service, clean facilities, top notch equipment and personal trainers! Cons: more mid-day classes would be nice, as they can fill up quickly! more

The best health club in downtown Seattle! 7/27/2007

The Epicenter is truly one of the best clubs I have ever been apart of. The staff is courteous and professional! They have a numerous variety of classes ranging from yoga to turbo kick boxing! The customer service is great! I did run into slight billing problem (which was actually my banks fault), but Rob Isom (their operations manager) and Don Pak (their GM) took care of me and corrected the situation for me by actually helping me contact my bank to resolve the issue. Also for my inconvenience (even though it was not their fault) they credited me one month of dues! They are the Nordstrom's of health clubs! My gosh, they have LCD screens on their cardio machines, with DVD players. Let me tell you how fast time passes when your not thinking about it! :) Thank you Epicenter for making my workouts actually enjoyable! I would highly recommend this gym! Pros: Clean, great price, a lot of variety, great staff Cons: Locker space could be a little bigger! more

DISGUSTING & AWFUL! 3/14/2007

First, they overcharged me and it took several months, multiple phone calls, and several emails to get my account corrected. Don Pak, the General Manager, is totally rude and unhelpful. Finally, I emailed the President, Merle, and told her I would be filing a Better Business Bur complaint if they didn't credit my account- she admitted they were wrong, then CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT because of the complaint. In any case, the locker room is disgusting and I've NEVER seen anyone cleaning it. Plus, the instructors have a high turnover rate (I'd quit too if I worked for them) so classes are cancelled ALL THE TIME. It's ridiculous. STAY AWAY!! Cons: Overcharged, poor customer service, dirty more

Cheap and it shows 3/9/2007

While this gym is cheap, it is like the Arby's of gyms. It's completely packed at peak times and it's impossible to find certain pieces of equipment (X-trainer) open. There aren't enough lockers and the bathroom area is dirty. The trainers/instructors are really nice but since it's already crowded sometimes they're in the way. It has potential but also has a long way to go to get there. Pros: Instructors Cons: Locker Room, Service more
