AMAZING ride, but often breaks down 7/9/2008

This ride, in my opinion, is one of the most unique theme park rides ever. The attraction puts riders in a car and takes them through a mock (and obviously milder) version of how real vehicles are tested for the road. The highlight comes at the end of the ride, when the open-air cars accelerate up around 50 mph or so for a circle around the ?test track.? FYI, this ride is the most popular at EPCOT, so Fast Passes for it are usually all handed out for the day by noon-ish. Also the ride, as it is so complex, often breaks down and has to be closed for hours, much to the dismay of those who have been waiting in the long line. Pros: unique, great thrill ride Cons: breaks down frequently more

Fun ride! For those not into roller coasters, fear not -- this ride is about speed and cornering, not about falling from high places. The Fast Pass option worked wonderfully and soon we were zooming over, around, and through. It's hot; it's cold; it's fast; it's faster! Definitely left with a smile on my face. Pros: Fun not scary, Outdoor track Cons: Long lines, Noisy outside more

Test Track at its most 11/23/2002

Test Track is my favorite ride at EPCOT. I always want to ride it everytime I go there. It goes fast and there is many different parts to it. The only bad thing is that the lines get really long. My suggestion is that you get a fast pass or go on as a single rider. Pros: Fast, Fun, Fastpass/Singe Rider Cons: Long Lines more

  • The Highlights
Part simulator ride, part General Motors commercial, this attraction places riders in a prototype automobile and runs them through a series of "test track" maneuvers. Passengers board a vehicle that proceeds down a highway, getting directed through hairpin curves, heat and cold emulations, braking tests, rough terrain and steep inclines. The ride climaxes with a 12-second acceleration that peaks at a top speed of 65 mph.

    The Wait
Lines are never-ending. Though loaded with plenty of eye-candy, the extended wait times (sometimes as long as two hours) get even worse if the ride is experiencing mechanical difficulties--not unusual. Luckily, this is a Fastpass ride.
