SCAM MOVERS, FAKE GOOD REVIEWS , BE AWARE !! I used this company and they are not even close to excellent. They were very late, the price was almost double than quoted and after all the damage that they made, their foreman complained about the tip (!?!) How dare you? I would never recommend this company to anyone! more

Great company, all staff are very professional, very nice people.\r I used Empire movers two times within about one year period and highly recommend them.\r These guys will make your move so easy, they pack and unpack everything for you for extra $$$ of course but all I want to say that they are very good at what they doing. I gave them 5 stars rating but to be more exact they deserve 11 in a 1 to 10 scale. \r Very experienced, these guys are no joke.\r \r Thank you Empire movers. more

on reflection, the red flags were there when they picked up the stuff. When my husband asked about paying via a cc Florin kept harping on the fact that they also took cash .They also asked for payment in full (we've used moving companies before who always take half payment upfront and the rest on delivery) but we agreed to pay in good faith. Florin was also bold enough to ask for a tip! which they received. \r we hired this company to move our stuff from NY to Chicago. They picked up the items on the 18th June, were paid in full plus a generous tip and 11 days later we are still waiting for our stuff to arrive even though we were told 5-7 days. At the latest, according to our contract, it should arrive by tomorrow.\r \r We have had to call them every step of the way, leaving voice mails as well, which no one returns. We just spoke to Florin who informed us that they were loading today.Obviously we won't have our stuff by the 30th June ( as agreed under contract) and he was still unable to give us a delivery date. \r We are stuck here with a week worth of clothing and no viable response from this company. \r more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They showed up 3 hours late to my job and refused to move my stuff for the quoted price. more

I just wanted to write to say thank you for the excellent service we received from Empire Movers,when we moved to the new home. The guys who came to help us worked really efficiently, were very careful with our belongings and did the work with a smile! It made the whole move much more pain and stress-free than we could have hoped for. more

Is long time, since I moved last time. I was so happy to meet FLORIN and his crew.They did a clean job, packed really nice all my beloved China. Moving with Empire Movers was the best experience I've ever had! After moving with a few other companies, I finally found one that accomplished all my needs. The movers were very professional, helpful, punctual, energetic and FAST!!! I had the best service when trying to get information about the move date, prices and last minute requirements with my building. Unlike other companies, they were truly interested in making me happy. The last thing that I expected was a courtesy e-mail from the company asking about the move. Empire Movers wasn't only about the business but also about the desire to keep a customer happy and I AM HAPPY! more

I will NEVER contact this company for another quote. They originally quoted me a decent price (but in this case you get what you pay for). I hired them, and had an agreement and delivery date for 50 boxes. Nothing showed up on the agreed upon date. I called and was told later that day they would be there. Once again a no show. I called again and got the delivery rescheduled for the next day. Once again a no show! Later that day they call me and say we are shipping you boxes UPS. I am ok with this. I receive the boxes and find the outsourced box company charges me for the boxes! At this point I've pretty much had it with this company! I email my rep (no response, big shocker with these jokers). A few hours later I get a call from the ""manager"" { ALEXANDER } who proceeds to call me a low life, and tells me how he wants to punch me in the face, then hangs up on me. So... If you want to be treated like this you should use this company, if not I suggest you find someone else!!!!!!!!! more

I had a wonderful exprience with this moving company. I needed a company who would help me out, financially and professionally... I found both with Empire Movers!From the moment that I called to get an estimate, the gentleman was very understaning about my budget and even help me with a discount! Every one knows that some moving companies hire workers that don't care about the people's things, but not with Empire Movers! When moving day came, the gentlemen were so efficient and delicate with my items, which I trully appriciate til this day. I am so amazed and overjoyed with my entire exprience and I strongly recommened to everyone this company!!! more

I recently moved from the New York area to Southern California and I hired Empire Movers to move me across the country. My move was handled every step of the way in a professional manner. All of my belongs arrived in perfect condition--ahead of the scheduled time. I have to say that the entire move exceeded my expectations. The owner of this moving company, Florin, is a business professional who values integrity and a high level of customer service. It really shows. I highly recommend this company! more

I just wanted to say thanks to these guys for moving me. This is my best move since we moved to New York 8 years ago.They came at the time they said they would and moved me quickly. The three movers were professional and they did an excellent job moving all my furniture. I called last minute and needed my apartment moved locally in Manhattan and Empire Movers did a great job accommodating me with my move.Vlad, was a great foreman, went extra mile only to accommodate us. more

I had a very complicated move from Chicago to Manhattan that involved local Chicago movers, Pods shipping, and Empire Movers on the NYC end. Florin and the team from Empire were great. They confirmed details with the Chicago packing company and Pods and made sure that my things made it to my new house on time, in excellent condition, and with no problems whatsoever. The crew was scheduled for 9 am pickup, they called ahead to let me know they were coming. At 8:50 am they were at the door. I had some things that were still unpacked since my boxes had run out, no worries they packed it for me.\r \r Vlad was very informative and went over the Estimated Minimum cost before we started, I knew that it was going to be more since the estimate was only for 3 hours + 1 hr travel time and I knew we needed more time...yes I am a packrat LOL Vlad estimated work time of 5-6 hours...I figured 6 was closer to the real figure and that was the time it took :-) He also let me know that a tip to the crew would be great but was Not mandatory. \r \r They took great care of my stuff, wrapped it properly...and Quickly! From start to finish they were extremely efficient, no break times just go go go...made me exhausted just looking at them! I am also very grateful for the care they took with my TV, I have a 65"" plasma TV, very big and heavy! They wrapped it with blanket and cardboard and it arrived at the new house without any problems!\r \r When we got to the new house they helped me put the furniture where I wanted it, they put things together that they had needed to take apart to fit in the elevator...the job was done in no time!\r \r When I move again I will call these guys again! more

I usually don't review businesses but these great guys convinced me to share this with everyone. They earned top marks from me for their high quality service. On time, polite, careful with my stuff, very helpful and friendly. And all that for the lowest price around (believe me, I did my homework :) If you need a team of professionals to help you with your move around NY, I recommend Empire Movers! Great work guys! The movers were fine. My problem was with Sam the salesperson who provided the price quote. Job was twice the cost as quoted. I was charged for items/services which they said there was no charge for. I was supposed to have three movers but only got two. Which obviously made the job longer and more costly. When I spoke to Sam to discuss problems, he was unhelpful, argrumentative and unapologetic . They held some items on the truck as hostage until the bill was settled. I will never use this company again. I will go out of my way to tell people to not use them. That's how frustrated I was with the salesperson.\r \r Follow-up comment: I was contacted by the company after they had read my review. I received a partial refund (though it did not cover the discrepany from quoted price to actual price) for my troubles and frustration. more

Empire Movers Is one of the WORST moving services I've ever experienced. sad to say with all the people I know and work with. my overall experience and my word of mouth will mean alot to this company. First of all Do Not use them. not only do they show up in a No Logo Dirty Butcher Meat Truck. Half way full with there junk already inside, that way they can request to make two trips. so they can charge you for more hours. They use broken boxes. there not reliable with time. they show up extremely Late and they will give you the run around and lie about traffic. then they try to scam with the hours. they will work and drive slow to charge you more hours. Its a scam moving company. Managers John and Florin and Movers Staff are all Super UNPROFESSIONAL. Whatever you do DONT USE THEM!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL! There probably the one's who write there own reviews. DO NOT USE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! USE SHLEPPERS, FLAT RATE or MOISHES!!! There PROFESSIONAL!! more

Absolutely amazing. Moved with them recently, the speed and efficiency of the movers impressed me. How the do it i dont know but they were great. Very professional all the way. Kudos more
