HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Emperor is the 4/5/2012

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Emperor is the absolute best place to eat Chinese in this city. They have great food and great service and a very very nice atmosphere. They always greet you with a smile and you can tell they are people who want their customers satisfied! Very decent prices. This is my favorite spot =) more

Best Chinese Food in Milwaukee 2/4/2010

I highly recommend the Bean curd in black bean sauce. Amazing Chinese at a very good price. Great for take-out but a nice atmosphere as well. The service is always friendly with a smile. Can't beat it anywhere in the city. more

Great people, poor food, 2 hour delivery waits 12/31/2009

Emperor of China has really gone downhill, I'm sad to say. I love their employees but their delivery now takes 1.5-2 hours which is absolutely ridiculous. It used to be that Emperor used only fresh, quality ingredients in their dishes, but the last few times I have eaten there in the past year, they have served canned, bad-tasting Chinese vegetables and an over-powering dirty skillet taste in all my dishes. I used to be able to confidently order anything off the menu. I can still rely on the following dishes from there: Willow Beef, your basic fried rice and a really tasty appetizer--Sweet Potatoes Tempura. However, they used to have really great, fresh-tasting Lo-mein and Ho-fun noodle dishes that are now just yucky canned vegetables and nasty oil tumped into a skillet of noodles. Orange Peel Beef, Kung-pao chicken and Mu-shu Pork have also started to be dominated by canned vegetables/sauce. Blech. Their vegetarian dishes are also no longer reliable--undercooked tofu is fresh in my memory. For the fine-dining prices they charge, this is strip-mall pseudo-Chinese food. Until they get some quality control back, I'm done waiting 2 hours for a 50% chance of eating something that tastes like La Choy from a can. Pros: a few dishes are still good Cons: food quality has gone way down. RIDICULOUS wait. more

Emperor of China has great food, and is also pretty cheap. One entree feeds two people. I recommend the Orange Chicken. more

Best Chinese Food I Have Ever Found!!! 4/11/2006

Yummy, yummy, yummy!!! This is the best Chinese food I have ever found anywhere! When I am back home in Milwaukee I always make sure to stop by here at least once for dinner or lunch. When my boyfriend lived in Milwaukee, we used to order delivery from here all the time. The guy who answers the phone is awesome. Very friendly. Quick for pick-up too. I wish I could find a Chinese food place at least half-way as good as this in California. No luck so far. :( Many good choices on the large menu. Pros: Fast Service, Fast Seating, Delicious Food more
