We bought a raised toilet seat for our disabled relative visiting us from out of town. The sales person at Emerald Pharmacy and Medical Supply told us that the toilet seat we were purchasing was NEW. After we came home, we opened the package. The toilet seat was dirty and had many scratch marks. It appeared that it was a USED item. In addition, the attachment part was BROKEN. The next day we went to the store and asked for a replacement/refund. THEY REFUSED, saying that it is their store's policy that they can neither replace the item nor refund our money.
The sales person and the store manager suggested to us that we used and broke the toilet seat and were lying to them. It is foolish to think that we used and broke the toilet seat because we clearly have no disabilities and have no use for it.
In addition, they suggested to us that it was our fault that we ended up with a dirty, broken toilet seat for which we have no use, because we did not inspect the item at the time of the purchase by opening the package. The sales person did not say anything about their ""fantastic"" NO REFUND/NO RETURN store policy at the time of the purchase.
Because of their NO RETURN and NO REFUND POLICY and ""excellent"" customer service, we could do nothing but came home with a DIRTY, BROKEN TOILET SEAT that we do not want or need.
I do NOT recommend this store. Avoid it. Don't go there.
