We were just there yesterday and we had so much fun! It wasn't our first time but it was packed (as it usually is on weekends) so we were so happy to get a table! The food was soo amazing... What I really like about this place is that they are so easy going and they are not trying to be something that they are not. The area is really up and coming and sooo expensive... so I was really stunned that someone would be offended by a corking fee. It's not that they make you go out and get your own wine and charge for it but they ALLOW you to bring your own for a fee as it is stated on the menu so you can opt out if you think that it is too high or if you can't even afford BYOB places. Other places charge at least $7 dollars for a glass of wine so no matter what, you save money. And in effort so support small business so that we don't have another Duane Reade where an amazing restaurant should be where we hang out with friends and family: here is to the corking fee and great food! Pros: Everything Cons: I wish it was bigger more

Good food, but something really bothered me... 3/24/2008

They don't serve liquor but they charge a $7 corking fee per bottle of wine? So they make money from not selling you wine by charging YOU to go out and get some and bring it to your dinner at their restaurant!!!?? Pros: Food Cons: BYOB and they charge YOU a corking fee - service is average more

Absolutely DELICIOUS lamb chops 9/22/2007

My husband and I have actually been to this place nearly half a dozen times now in a few months. I've never been disappointed. Food is fresh, seasoned and cooked well, very consistent. I've gotten the lamp chops each time because they're that good. He has gotten the lamb merguez (sausage) and some other dishes I cannot recall and he loved them all. Pros: The food. Hands down, delicious food. more

good food, unaccomodating cook 9/8/2007

We had a birthday dinner there and the were very accomodating as some members of the party were over an hour late. Once everyone was settled the waiter was visibly annoyed but served us and was professional. The cook is ridiculous. He refused to let us substitute sides with our entree (I wanted asparagus instead of portobello) and my friend was given the wrong order (lamb chops instead of lamb couscous) and she was told that ""the cook said it;s the same lamb used in both dishes and there is couscous on the plate"" which is ridiculous, she is a customer and should get what she ordered. The food was delicious, the decor was cool. If you can deal with the cookss idiosyncrasies then you'll be fine. Pros: inexpensive, good food, ambiance Cons: unaccomadating cook, messed up order, slow more

This place is just amazing! The decor is great, cozy and authentic with a modern touch. Very interesting and it definitely stands out the neighborhood. The service is quick and the main attraction is the food! I had the steak: it is by far the best I have had in a long time! Their bread is also great: it comes out nice and warm... not to mention the appetizers: they are just so different and tasty. This place is also BYOB until they get their license... Pros: Food, Great Chef, Friendly Staff, Great Music more
