After visiting the art museum, I was inspired to decorate my home in the Asian style. While in Chinatown, I found this store. Unfortunately, there's nothing nice here. Everything is very tacky, I'm afraid, and it is priced on par with Pottery Barn and other furniture stores. I would not believe the "regular prices" they list. The wood trim is of good quality, but, it is too shiny and too in-your-face. Everything has wood trim. Also the patterns on the furniture are way too flowery. They also sell big crystal chandeliers, which conjure up images of Chinese restaurants. None of the furnishings here seemed elegant to me, and I wouldn't come here unless something really catches your fancy. Also, I didn't see any other customers. It was a weekend night. I've come here before, but I don't think I will return again. Chinatown just isn't my place to buy furniture. There's no parking and it is a hassle just to get to the store.
I saw a lot of pieces that seemed like altars for certain religions, and I'd think carefully before buying anything.
