Horrible experience. This is by far the worst tanning salon I have ever been to. The owner was rude and disrespectful. The receptionists are not much better. Very stuck up employees throughout the salon. I was a member for 2 months and I would just do walk-ins. About a week into the 2nd month I went in at 6:40 to tan and she was going to set up a room then she came back a few minutes later telling me it was 6:45 and they close at 7 and to come back the next day. Aside from that inconvenience I decided to call and make an appointment the next day. When I arrived for my appointment the owner said, ""Ok so 10 minutes in the bed?"" I responded, ""No I would like to do 12 min in the stand up."" The owner was very rude and said that I couldn't go in the stand up before checking to see if there were already any appointments for that bed at that time. I asked if I could wait and he responded by telling me he didn't like my attitude and said that it was too close to closing and there was no time for me to tan in either of the beds. He told me to come back the next day so I explained to him that this was unfair for I had a membership there, as well as an appointment. When I suggested that he had his employees ask which bed the customer wanted he laughed and said no that's your job. ****Ha ha their employees not asking which bed I want is like a customer calling a pizza place and saying, ""Hey I'll take a pizza."" And then they make whatever they feel like making. It would obviously be the employees job to ask what kind of pizza (tanning bed) they wanted. *** I was sick of the owner of the business disrespecting me and I demanded a refund, which he refused. Then he began yelling at me in front of other customers and his wife stepped in and they threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't leave. I couldn't help but laugh at their poor management skills. I have never been treated so poorly from a business, they were rude and unprofessional. After leaving, without my refund I called my parents to see if he would respect them more than me, a 19 year old. My dad went in and said, ""I don't appreciate the way you were talking to my daughter."" The owner got extremely defensive and threatened by day by saying, ""You want to take this outside?!"" My dad was livid and didn't want to do anything he'd regret so he came outside with me while my mom talked to him. He said he'd refund my money by sending me a check in the mail for the services he didn't provide, but about 2 months have gone by and I have yet to receive a refund. Clearly the refund was not our main concern, it was the way he mistreated me in a place where I went expecting to relax. If you are looking for a fun, friendly, relaxing environment...DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I completely agree with Bretts review, Sunsational is an outstanding substitute. Wonderful staff, and great quality beds, AT SUNSATIONAL!
