I love this place. Charlie Harley turned me onto it in 1979, before the current husband-wife team began operating the joint, and expanded to 2 rooms. It is the cheapest delicious meal in town, totally declassee. I go for the puerco frito, my partner prefers sopa de res. It's all good. Pros: food, warmth, price, service, simplicity Cons: chairs not that comfortable more

Best Carne Asada 7/16/2006

I've been going to this dive for 10 years. The couple that owns the place (husband cooks, and wife takes the orders) are wonderful. The place is truly a local dive, but the food is cheap and delicious. The ""sopa"" is excellent if you have a cold! Pros: Food; on 24th ST BART line Cons: Ambiance; parking more
