El Rey is, quite simply, the best Mexican restaurant in Louisville. I've been eating it since before I was born actually - my mother ate there obsessively when she was pregnant, and my family has followed the chef from restauarant to restaurant for 23 years, if that gives you an idea of the loyalty Rey's food inspires. He now owns his own restaurant - small, but comfortable, with quick service, and often filled with the delicious sounds and smells of tasty fajitas. The food is cheap and delicious. I particularly recommend the enchiladas, and the spanish rice is notably good.
