Here in Tucson, in the land of Mexican food, there are a few great restaurants that stand out. El Minuto is one of them. This smaller-sized restaurant is located downtown and close to the Tucson Convention Center and La Placita. It is a cozy little place with indoor and outdoor dining on the patio, which at times, you have to take because there are so many people there! The wait staff is nice and friendly and the food is great! As always, there are the chips and salsa before dinner and the entrées are great portion sizes. I believe it is a local family that owns and operates the restaurant. The atmosphere is laid back, the dress is super casual and it never ceases to amaze me how many different people are there. If in the area, it is one of the main Mexican restaurants that I would recommend. The only downfall is the parking. The parking lot has too few spaces and they are hard to get in and out of, especially when there are other cars waiting for your spot.
