Excellent food-Great Service 1/1/2009

We have enjoyed El Aztecca for many years and enjoy the Cabrito and the great Margaritas. The service is friendly and you feel welcome! Just thinking about it makes me hungry-think I'll go there today! Pros: Great fresh food, good service and reasonable prices--good parking! Cons: nothing! more

We've been frequenting El Azteca for more than 20 years & consider it the best TexMex restaurant in Austin ... but it also has some interior cuisine dishes & an extensive veggie Mexican food selection. more

friendly service. unbelievably good food that is also cheap. every time i'm in austin, i eat here. have the sherbet for gods sake. oh, and the calendars rock. Pros: authentic, location, calendars more

El Azteca is the greatest 11/18/2004

Guys seriously, El Azteca is the best Mexican place in town. Jorge, the current owner/manager is the son of the founder and the family still does most of the work around the place. If you never had a Mexican abuelo then go to El Azteca and find out what you've been missing! more

Long live Tex-Mex 5/27/2002

El Azteca is one of the places I miss most since I moved to NYC from Austin after college. They serve some of the tastiest Tex-Mex to be found in the state of Texas. Don't go here expecting fine dining ambience, they are strictly about serving up affordable and authentic Tex-Mex. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The menu is extensive and the service is super friendly, too. more
