There are three Landmark Theatres in town: The Uptown, The Lagoon, and Edina. I listed them in that order for a reason. If you want to see an independent or foreign film and its not playing at either the Uptown or the Lagoon, you may be forced to make a trip out to 50th and France.
Only programming separates the Edina Landmark theater from its mainstream multiplex brethren. Like all Landmark theaters, ticket and concession prices are high. You can park for free in the public ramp behind the shopping center across 50th.
The worst part about going to the Edina is the theater’s patrons. Be prepared to stand in line with people who thought Billy Elliot was a brilliant film.
