THEY ARE THEIVES! I rented from Edge Creek for 6 months. Maintenence was at my apartment every week to fix or check something. And Honestly, I could write a book on how rude and inconsiderate the office manager is. I was pregnant and my refigerator stopped working, well it never really did work. (Took days for the freezer to freeze anything). They offered to put a temporary fridge in my LIVING ROOM until mine was fixed. HAHA! Leaky fixtures, SCOLDING hot water in faucets. The one nice thing is that they have wooden floors, carpet in rooms. Although the carpet in the room was still damp when I moved in from cleaning, it looked good until it dried and all the previous stains and cigarette burns surfaced. When I addressed the office about it they basically made it seem as if i were lying about the carpet. I offered for the office manager to come take a look and she refused. They try to keep your deposit. I was a single girl with no pets or babies in my apt. They made me pay for numerous repairs such as new counter tops and bathtub!!!! I was livid. I had crappy countertops and the bathtub was sparayed with some paint before i moved in to cover up all the rust and the paint started to peel off. They charged me for all of that plus they said I still owed them money cause my deposit didnt cover it!! THEY ARE CROOKS AND EVEN THE CORPORATE OFFICE OF TYBRAY COVERS UP FOR HOW CROOKED THIS COMPLEX IS!!! NOT TO MENTION MY APT WAS BROKEN INTO WITH NO SIGHN OF FORCED ENTRY. HMMMMM....MY GUESS MAINTENENCE! STOLE ONLY JEWLRY NO ELETRONICS, I NEVER HAD ANY GUEST OVER BUT FAMILY. AND I WAS ON THE 3RD FLOOR! DONT DO IT! PLUS THE COMPLEX IS UGLY/DIRTY. more


I have had numerous maintence problems, and have gotten the worst response to the issues. I have contacted management so many times, finally called their corporate office : TYBRAY MANAGEMENT, and was treated with such dis-respect. No wonder the managers get away with murder. It's almost been 2 months since the maintenence issues began, and its still like pulling teeth to get someone out, and FIX THE PROBLEM. Not only am I having those issues, but I've already called the cops a few times about disturbance issues, and have had to call about all the ridiculous noise my neighbors make. There's supposed to be an answering service you can call to have someone go out and ask that people stop distrubing others, and that line is no longer working. Was never made aware the tenents would no longer have that option. All of the maintence staff only speak Spanish, which would be fine if I knew the language..I am now taking legal action and am suing the complex. I sent out a letter of demand a week ago, and no one has contacted me. They just don't care. I hate this place. I hope I can help someone out, by keeping them from this hell whole. Cons: It all comes down to Management. If they're not doing their job, it doesn't matter what the pros are. more

Up Edge Creek Without A Paddle... 2/26/2008

I have lived here for about 7 months & can honestly say it has been my worst apt. living experience to date. I love the Green Belt view however, be aware that the ""fitness center"" is not air-conditioned, half the dated equipment doesn't work, the pool has been closed several times, & there is one trash bin for the entire lot. I have had several issues with my upstairs neighbors & have gone to the mgt. staff for help on multiple occassions only to find that the steps they promised to take with my neighbors were mere stall tactics to keep my complaints quiet. When it became apparent that mgt. staff clearly had no desire to help solve the situation I requested the property mgt. office contact info. to complain and was refused. That's right people, several times the info. I am legally entitled to was refused - outright. I had to file a complaint with the Austin Tenants Council just to get the info. Unfortunately, the property mgt. staff decided to side with the leasing staff against my 7 month documentation, calls to authorities and pleads for help. They would not return my calls & dismissed the issue as he said/she said. I then moved on to request the property owner contact info. from both the leasing office and property mgt. staff and was refused. I contacted a lawyer who told me further steps to take & low & behold I received a letter stating they've agreed to release me from my lease. These are the most unprofessional people I've ever had the misfortune of leasing from & I assure you even if you have legititmate & fully documented complaints that warrant action you'll not get it. The staff here thrive on the fact that many tenants do not have access or knowledge to leasing laws & if given the opportunity will certainly take advantage. Other than that, I'd say the property is fairly maintained; except the trash area. The ""wood"" floors advertised are wood laminate. Buyer beware - I'd weigh all options before choosing to rent at this location. Pros: Green Belt Views For Additional $10 Per Month. Cons: Unprofessional Staff more


I've lived here from early '05 to present (June '07).\r \r Management changed hands recently (late '06) and things have gone downhill fast. The new management are, simply put, thieves. They truly lie and steal. I've never in my life seen people do business this way. They steal amounts small enough that you don't want to hassle going to court over. For example, I once paid my rent a day late. They notified me around the 12th of that month that I owed them late fees. (They had been accruing the late fees without notifying me, and I wound up paying $70.00 for ONE day's late fee.) I'm leaving reviews about this place to anyone who wants to research their apartment... because TODAY, Edge Creek notified me that I owe them a large amount. When I called and asked why, they said because they put a statement on my door at the first of the month saying if I don't sign a renewal right then, the rent would increase a large amount. \r \r They never put put a statement on my door or notified me of this in any way. \r \r Now if I want to hassle taking them to court, it's my word against their's. They know this. They know it's not worth my time, and it's an easy way to steal money.\r \r The place is really loud, dirty, not kept up or maintained well at all. My upstairs neighbors thump around all night and I hear everything. There are tiles in my bathroom that have fallen out because the sheetrock is moldy.\r \r I wouldn't recommend this place to any one. Plus they're raising the rent. It's not worth it. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.\r \r THEY ARE THIEVES. DO ***NOT*** DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!! Cons: The staff is horrible. They literally lie and steal. Loud, trash not picked up, rude office personnel, maintainence slow and doesn't care about work 9/3/2006

It is really loud and people are now hanging out drinking at the recreation area all night. Staff doesn't picking up the trash and some trashcans stayed full for weeks. Cabnets are falling off the walls but maintance never has time to fix them, kids ride their bikes and skateboard on the parking lot darting out in front of cars, the office says their is nothing they can do, that we just have to deal with it. We now have new management and it is getting worse, the dryers don't always work, the pool was closed for a month and had green water, trash still doesn't get picked up and they have taken many trashcans away so now there is trash on the ground, a lot of people are moving, we have a many empty apartments, yet they still want to raise the rent over $100 per month. The fitness center is a joke, all the equipment is broken and they say they won't fix them. The walls and ceilings are very thin, I hear everything my upstairs nieghbor does, when they take a shower or run the dishwasher I have to turn the sound up on my tv just to hear it. Not a good place, I wouldn't recommend this to any one.\r Cons: Very loud and dirty more
