He came to house to appraise my coin collection for estate planning purposes. He seemd knowlegeable, but rather chatty. With some German coins, he wrote down a descpription so that he could look them up & let me know the value. With one foreign coin---dated 1809--he said that he had to ""take it"" with him to check the value. He gave me a receipt for that coin. Two weeks later after not hearing from him I called him & he told me the value of the German coins & said that the 1809 coin was worth $2.50. He siad he'd mail that 1809 coin back to me. It's now been almost 3 months & he says that the coin in lost--that he mailed it back to me ( ""I think I mailed it back""). Coin dealers do not generally lose coins!!!!!! This is not honest or organized way to run a business.
