We have lived this area our entire lives and I have never written a negative review (or any review, for that matter) but the experience we had with Eastside necessitates I do so. Eastside’s proposal for the work to be done at our house was intentionally disconnected (a stack of papers) and confusing, employing a mix of separate proposals from separate companies and for separate activities it would be reasonable to believe are included in what is made to look like a summary base bid. But, it turns out, there was no summary proposal statement and their intent appears to be to trick the customer into an up-sell for over-priced service with unsupportable basis.\r \r We discovered this after the work was begun but decided to go forward anyway as they were already done with the first phase of the work (big mistake) only to find, after we again thought the work was complete, that “maintenance work” that we had not requested (basically putting traps out and checking them every 3 months or so for a ridiculous fee) was also a hidden up-sell when an unexpected invoice showed up. We told them we would pay for what had been done (come and get your traps!) but they insisted they be paid for work for the next year (or something like that).\r \r The amount they want to bill us nominal (especially when compared to the overall price we paid) but we will not roll-over this time. It is about our responsibility to stand up against unscrupulous businesses and business practices.\r \r Stay Away!\r more

Extremely disappointed!! ! I recently (Oct. 2011) hired Wendy Jacobson from Eastside Exterminators to repair/clean up the damages caused by a raccoon in the crawlspace area. The job never completed as promised and she have not returned my phone calls and emails since they have made an unauthorized transaction of the full amount of the repair cost instead of 25% prior completing the job. When I contact their office expressing my concerns, they only direct me to Wendy more

They do wonderful job. it is over year we have a contract with them and they come and spreay for spider and etc. more

I had an extended experience with Eastside Exterminators. I live close to the water, and rats were getting in under our my house and nesting in the insulation. It was awful. The smell of rat excrement was coming up through the vents, and causing extreme discomfort. Eastside Exterminators came out, and they really knew what they were doing. First, they ripped out every bit of the old insulation. Then they washed everything thoroughly, sealed up all the places where the rats were getting in, and finally re-insulated.From then on I had them come out regularly to make sure the problem did not return. I did think I paid them quite a bit of money, but they solved my problem, and handled themselves very well. I had tried other exterminators first, and they not only failed to eliminate the pests, but left dead carcasses lying around. Eastside Exterminators were much more professional and thorough. I recommended them to all the other neighbors. more

After over 15 years of coming to my rescue, Deanna at Eastside Exterminators saved the day again. I am absolutely not a fan of rodents or bats or birds in my house, but Deanna takes care of the problem it occurs.(and it did last week) Deanna is so calm and reassuring as she inspects and eliminates what needs to be done. Eastside Exterminators just finished sealing, cleaning and re-insulating our crawlspace. They took great care to protect our home and belongings. The work was done efficiently and professionally. I was in the construction business for 18 years, and I would have been proud to have any of their workers on my projects. more

Eastside Exterminators was recommended to me by the guy who performed the structural inspection for a house I was planning to sell. The inspector said the basement was trashed and that I may want to get somebody out there to check it out. I then called Eastside Exterminators. Wendy was wonderful. She was professional and engaging. I really enjoyed all the things she said. She said that there were raccoons, not rats. They then sent out a guy that came to do the exclusion treatment. Vicki the owner was fabulous! She worked out a deal with us. They were very thorough in the exclusion treatment, which was about blocking off all the holes the raccoons could enter, and they obviously knew the business. They tore out all the bad stuff and worked down there for eight or nine hours. It looked like a brand new home after the place was worked on. The people at Eastside Exterminators didn't cut corners, and did it all. I was blown away. Maybe it's because of the economy that people are doing it old school now, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are worth their value for the dollar, and the customer service is unbelievable. I own my own company and Eastside Exterminators is unlike most businesses I have dealt with. If you use anybody else, well you deserve whatever will happen to you! more

About a year ago I moved into a new basement apartment only to find that I wasn’t living alone. Every day I was surprised by HUGE spiders crawling out from my closet, behind the toilet, and under my bed. It got to the point where I was afraid to be in my house. With the recommendation of my mother, I saved some of the bodies and went to Eastside Exterminators to discuss my problems. \r \r Immediately, Walt was able to identify all the spiders I had brought (all three being ones that bite…including a hobo spider). I am a tad embarrassed to say but I was so overwhelmed that I began to tear up. Walt was very sensitive to my fears and explained what we could do to solve the problem. Within the next few days, he came out and sprayed the inside and outside of my house. He was very professional and didn’t make me feel like I was overreacting to the situation.\r \r Walt comes every two months to spay and I have seen only about two stray spiders since the first day he came (thankfully these weren’t the “meat eaters” as I call them). They are always accommodating to my schedule and I can’t say how happy I am with their services. I would recommend them to anyone!\r more
