Will not honor there warranty policy! Horrible cust service and communication 9/20/2013

I would rate less than one star if I could! The receipt clearly states that all labor comes with a 12 month warranty. They charged over $1000 to "fix" the transmission, but the repair they did never fixed my grinding problem. On top of that they say they need to replace the same parts they just installed to fix the transmission again! AND at my own cost. This was the diagnosis after having the car there for a week and a half! Horrible customer service from the manager, Terrance. Was hung up on by the lady that answers the phone when I explained my complaint. I feel that i was treated poorly and seems they are only out for the business' personal interests, money. more

Scam diagnosis service 11/28/2010

This place tried to rip me off. Free diagnosis service turned into 1000 dollar invoice. I refused to be scammed and call them out on their bluff. They should be shut down. I'm others read this review and stay clear of this place... more

Service 11/11/2010

Eastside Transmission has to be one of the best businesses on the Eastside. I have been bringing my vehicles to Eastsidetransmission for the last 25 years. Their service is top notch, and the prices have always been fair. It is a shame that the service managers have not always been top notch like Ed (the owner), but Ed is always on top of the situation and will not hesitate to rectify a problem, whether it be with a car, a mechanic, or the service manager, Ed will take care of the situation. Things Change 8/6/2009

The service manager for this company was relieved of his duties shortly after this incident took place with Liz S. Sadly, it should never have happened. I am glad to have the opportunity to address this complaint, now that I have been able to track it down. Liz, if you would please contact me, even though it is three years later, I would like to see if there might not be some way we can satisfy your upset. I received several complaints about this fellow in the months after his departure, and am sad that he ever came to work for this company. Ed,the owner of Eastside Transmission, has been here since it opened in 1962. I have known him for more than thirty years and a more honest and genuine fellow I have never known. I do know that an immediate, positive impact was made on customer relationships when I came on board. The crew here has also striven to improve customer relations, and the results of their efforts were that we were named Shop of the Year in 2008 by AAA. Achieving that level of performance was not an easy task. Maintaining a high standard of excellence in taking care of our customers is an aspiration for us, and we will work unceasingly to make sure the best job possible is done for our customers. I feel so strongly about the need for good customer service that I have the shop phone forward to my cell phone after hours. Irritating 8/9/2006

OK...so their work may be good, but I have been nothing but irritated by their service manager. You can tell he's worked in the business for ever and is completely non-committal about anything...ie. trying to get some idea as when your car will be done. I spent a huge amount of money there on my transmission but had to have a rental car for two weeks. Then in follow up its been just as bad. There are lots of places that do transmissions, I'd shop around. more
