Best Italian sandwich in the valley. 9/29/2011

I have driven by east coast for four years since moving to the area. I finally went in for lunch and had the Italian sandwich. It was awesome, much better than Bread Co. I liked the atmosphere as well. I always thought it was some type of chain but found out it is local. I will definitely return. Wine list looked good, so maybe I'll bring the family back for dinner. more

East Coast Has Really Stepped it Up a Notch! 9/29/2011

I've been going to East Coast for the for a few years now and it's truly better that it's ever been!\r \r I recently found out that they were under new managment.. so I had to try!\r \r The food is even better QUALITY and customer service is AMAZING! What ever they did is definately working! \r \r The price is just right and it's perfectly placed to grab a quick bite to eat. (My pizza came out in record time!)\r \r They now have a LARGE screen TV. AMAZING! I will definately be back to sit-in, grab a bucket of beers, and watch the game. Pizza was GREAT! \r \r Seems like a really cool place for everyone now! Noticed one of the guys knew how to throw pizza dough up in the air! WAY COOL!!! I""m sure the kids would love to see that!\r \r Overall wonderful experience and I will continue to be a dedicated customer. more

Food: Ok, Service: Terrible 2/21/2011

I went to East Coast Pizza this week. Here is my story: My fiancée and I were grabbing a quick lunch at East Coast Pizza. I had been there before, and had never had a reason to complain. We ordered our food, paid, and then took a seat. We were enjoying a nice lunch together, and things were going very well. As we were chatting, I heard a voice behind me, ""If you are going to drink soda here, you have to pay for it!"" I turned around and saw an older employee. I did not get his name, but he had an earring and was balding. My fiancée was drinking a water. I was drinking a Dr. Pepper that I had paid for. I replied, ""I paid for this soda. I don't understand."" ""If you paid for the soda, it would be in a blue cup. Otherwise it is stealing,"" he said. I reassured the man that I had paid for the soda. Another employee at the register had handed me the cup that I was using. I was not aware of the color-coated system, and so I did not know that I should have corrected the employee when I had paid. However, the older employee seemed skeptical and stormed off. I was agitated and upset at this treatment. I was just trying to have lunch with my fiancée, and suddenly I was very rudely and incorrectly accused of stealing. The man still seemed skeptical as he stood over by the register. My fiancée stared at me in disbelief. Did that just happen? This experience wasn't making East Coast Pizza look like a very friendly place, and lunch was obviously ruined. I dug my receipt out of my pocket and went to the register. I wanted to prove my innocence. I handed the receipt over to the man, ""Here is my receipt, and I just want to say that I don't appreciate the way that I was just treated."" His response was one word: ""Tough."" I was once again shocked. How could the customer service be so bad. No apology for accusing me of stealing. Just ""tough."" The food was fine. However, the behavior of the employee was disgusting, and I left the restaurant with a bad taste in my mouth. I don't ever plan on returning. I hope that others read this review and don't go there either. No one should be treated that way. more

Great Pizza! 2/19/2008

This truly is one of West County's better options when it comes to pizza. It is you typical suburban strip mall eatery (only the walls are decorated with New Jersey stuff), but the pizza is top notch. Not St Louis style, the sauce is sweet, the toppings plentiful, and the crust soft and chewy. The style of pizza served here is very similar to that of Feraro's Jersey Style Pizza. This is an excellent place to pick up lunch while you are in the middle of a Home Depot-WalMart-Target errand run on a Saturday. Pros: excellent pizza, great salads Cons: sometimes there might be a rowdy birthday or youth team party going on more

Avoid always 12/28/2006

A few weeks back I ordered the Stromboli, it tasted like the meat inside was old. Giving East Coast Pizza the benefit of the dought I ordered the same thing again today, same thing, the meat tasted like it was going bad. It had a funky taste. 2nd time this happned causes me to believe this is the stsndard. I do not recommend. Pros: Coke is awesome Cons: Meat is old more

Closest to the real thing! 2/19/2006

My husband was a life-long New Yorker, and when I'd go visit him before he moved here, the first thing he'd do is take me for a slice. East Coast Pizza is the closest thing we've found to real NY style pizza. The atmosphere is just like our favorite place in NY, nothing pretentious, you're really just there for good food. And that's what you get! I love that there's a place around where you can get a slice and a salad for lunch - it's just perfect. I make sure to stop for lunch whenever I'm working in the area. I highly recommend it! more

Great addition to the pizza scene 1/28/2006

I'm a fan of many different types of pizza. I'm not going to criticize St. Louis thin crust style, or Chicago deep dish style or even New York hand tossed. All those styles of pizza have their place and I crave different styles often. I think that's what makes variety great, that you don't have to choose only one style of Pizza. But when I have a craving for that type of pizza, East Coast fits the bill. Their super pizza is great and it is even better with their Caesar salad on the side. This is a great place to grab a satisfying lunch. Pros: super pizza, caesar salad more

East Coast Pizza- A Great Place 9/25/2005

Easily the best pizza in Chesterfield. A nice break from the me-too chains that seem to proliferate in the area. The thin crust is very crispy. Garlic knots make a great appetizer. If you want something other than pizza, try the stuffed shells. Service is good. It is family owned and operated. The posters, pictures and license plates from the east coast make for a nice ambience. more

The Name Fits 8/5/2004

My wife (who is from NY) and I feel that this is the best pizza in St.Louis without question. It's just like going back home for her and for me it's a treat I only looked forward to on our trips east. The Philly steak sandwiches are also authentic and very tasty. If you want REAL pizza, drop that gooey cheese and crackers called ""St.Louis style"" and come out to the valley for the real thing. Pros: Authentic, Great Food, Menu Variety more

Great Pizza 5/12/2004

The crust on the New york style pizza is crisp and is even better when reheated the next day. the calzones and stomboli's are fantastic and you can build your own if you have a few extra minutes. Try the garlic knots with the sauce! Great stuff The place is small and there is very little ambiance but the food is great. Pros: Good parking, Great Food, Wine and Beer Cons: , not much room inside more
