I give Erik's a 6 1/2 5/2/2013

I go to the Maple Grove store. Staff is very nice. And very knowledgeable. My only issue with them is that 2 wks ago i went in on a Fri with my son to look at a recumbent for him. I was also considering another bike for me. Unfortunately, i couldnt get a soul to help me. It was so weird! I am an older woman with a bike habit -- i wondered if they thought i wasnt worth waiting on? (Jokes on them: i have 3 bikes including a $2500 Cervelo) I was so eager to be helped that I endrd up approaching a customer who growled at me that he didnt work there. They are better than that but that was my experience. more

Follow up: Not Coming Back 7/6/2010

This post is to respond to the review ‘Not Coming Back’. We at Erik’s take customer service very seriously and took this complaint seriously. In the end we offered the customer a full refund and because his daughter had already used the snowboard we offered to let her keep it. The customer refused this offer and this is why we apologized and said there was nothing further we could do for him. Not coming back 1/19/2010

Went to Eriks for the expertise in snowboards and instead we were sold a bill of goods and an inferior snowboard to the one we had. When we complained they made us prove our story and once that was done they did nothing. more

Stellar Service At This Small Bike Shop 9/27/2005

Varsity Bike Shop, located in Dinkytown is a great place to go with Bike questions, when you need service or just want to shop for a bike. Because they are on the smaller side, their bike selection for sale might be a bit on the limited side. But their service is so friendly, so helpful & knowledgeable, that it more than makes up for it. When I got my bike, not even at their bike shop, I went into Varsity Bike to get a cupholder & basket. The guy behind the counter not only helped me find the best one for what I was looking for, but he then helped me put them on my bike, and showed me how to do it. Varsity Bike Shop is a great source for all of your bike needs. more

Everything You Could Need As A Bicycler 9/23/2005

Erik's Bike Shops are a great resource for information & education about bicycling. And if you're in the market, they're the best place around to do some SERIOUS bike shopping. You won't fidn a $50 Huffy here, nor will you find a hyperstylized Hog rip off. But if you're an experienced biker, who is desiring a top of the line bicycle & all the doodads to go with it, give Eriks a try. Their staff is knowledgable, friendly & helpful, and with many locations in the metro, they have a great selection to choose from. more

I have purchased a snowboard package and a bike here and both transactions went as smooth as possible. Very informative staff and great prices makes shopping here for your next bike purchase a no-brainer! Check out there last year model closeouts for some great bargains! more

a biker's paradise 8/18/2005

Erik's has a great selection of bikes and biking equipment. The staff are very knowledgeable and can answer most questions that we've ever had about fit and size. They are very helpful and do a great job tuning and adjusting bikes. We take all our bike related business to Erik's. We are very happy with them! more

Erik's bike shop is a great place! The staff is wonderful and very patient. The quality of the bikes is outstanding and they have the accessories to match! I bought my bike at Varsity Bike 7/29/2005

I bought my Bike at Varsity Bike after looking at a few other places. I liked how they were a small shop, but had what I needed. They were priced competitively, too. They have always been great with repairs and have a short turn around time, too. The staff know a TON about bikes, too! more
