The Dulles Expo Center in no way can compare to the sparking, huge Washington Convention Center 30-40 miles away, but it still gets the job done when it comes to providing a space for interesting trade shows and expos. The center is in the middle of a shopping center and near the Dulles Toll Road, Route 50 and the Beltway. It's pretty basic as far as convention centers go....there's ample space for the national shows that come here, and fast food available inside the center. Plenty of parking is available on site, although it can get crowded during a popular show. One annoyance....the North Hall and South Hall are separated, and you have to walk outside to get from one to the other. If your show is using both halls and the weather outside is frightful....ugh. Still, you get some of the quirkier and more interesting shows that you won't see at this center's glitzier cousin in downtown DC, and it's worth a visit. The metro is nowhere nearby and you will need to drive.
