I had a problem with my Alpine 12-CD changer cartridge jamming in the unit. At one time DTR was an authorized warranty service center for Alpine Electronics & that should have been my first clue to what was going to happen. I talked with Alpine Electronics & was told that I should ship the unit to them with a $105.00 check for the repair. I thought I would give the local company my business instead. I called DTR & was told to bring the unit to them for repair. I was told there would be a $50.00 analysis fee that would be applied to any repair. more

I shipped a Onkyo receiver to them for repair. When you call to get a RMA number or to tell them your sending something for repair, all you get is a recording telling you to read the directions on the website. So I followed the directions and spent about $50.00 dollars the sent it in. I just checked the USPS tracking number and they refused the delivery and shipped it back. more

I sent in my receiver and they repaired it perfectly. They also cleaned the entire unit which was above and beyond for a warranty repair. Turn around was quick considering how far I had to ship it. They do great work. more

Sony Sub woofer Repair. 1/28/2011

I recently turn in my Sony sub woofer that has been out of warranty for over 3 yrs. They gave me an estimate and an expected repair date. well to make a long story short they repaired my sub woofer 3 days faster than what they told me and the repair was cheaper than a new sub. Now my surround sound is back in business and sub is working and sounding better than ever. more

DTR Technologies ""fixed"" me up! 6/29/2010

I recently had a Onkyo HT-S6100 7.1 Channel Receiver repaired at DTR Technologies. I was worried that the unit may be very close to the warrantee expiration date. The DTR Customer Service helped expedite a work order allowing time for me to box-up the unit and ship it from Texas. Pros: Fast Service Cons: I wish they were in Fort Worth too! more

So glad I chose DTR to repair my Sony TV 3/1/2010

We have a Sony Bravia TV which developed problems but was still under warranty. I first spoke with someone at DTR, which was a pleasant experience. I faxed a copy of my purchase receipt to them plus a description of the problem, from which their Sony specialist was able to diagnose the problem. They ordered the replacement part, which came in a couple of days. We scheduled a day for the repair (morning or afternoon). The repair tech, Jose, called an hour before arrival and was here when he said he would be. He was friendly, competent, quick, and also gave us helpful tips to maximize our TV's performance. The office staff was also very friendly and helpful when I called. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others as well. Thank you, DTR! Questionable Service 1/23/2010

After speaking to their Customer Service Dept on two occasions and providing them with all the characteristics of what was wrong with my Sony XBR - she told me that the problem could be one of three boards and that an on-site visit was necessary to determine the actual problem. After finally agreeing to the $90 on-site visit, the technician arrived two days later and told me the problem without even taking apart the TV. He turned the TV on and saw the same characteristics that I had told their Cust Service Rep and said that your TV needs a new Dboard. He then called their office, got a quote for roughly $500, wrote up the estimate and was gone in less than 15 minutes. Here's a perfect example of a company looking to nickel and dime prospective customers by hitting them up for a $90 consultation and not providing great customer service over the phone and just telling me it's probably the Dboard and the cost is X. After speaking to their technician, he said the Dboard going after 5-6 years is not uncommon. I asked him about the ""3 boards that could pose this problem"" and he didn't know what I was talking about. He said the Dboard is the board responsible for powering up the TV. more

Very Reliable, Professional Technicians 1/6/2010

I have a 73? DLP that was purchased at Ultimate Electronics with the extended warranty. The five years that I have owed it, DTR took care of all the warranty issues (3 times). Each time the technician was very professional and courteous. Scheduling was easy, and had the parts in hand. This last repair which entailed replacing the optical unit, DTR took care of ordering the part in a timely matter and having the technician come out and install the broken unit quickly and professionally. Exceptional technician for TV repair 1/1/2010

I needed a DLP 61"" HDTV color wheel replaced. I was able to get the appointment within a couple of days of calling in. They sent an exceptional technician who did the repair quickly.
