They are unprofessional, my mother got a call stating that she had a pair of pants tailored there. She contacted me asking me to pick it up for her. I picked it up and brought it to her, it was not hers. I went immediately back to get my $24, but they refused to return my money, saying I needed to return on Monday. Which I did and they still did not return my $24. \r They have no integrity. You are a fool if you do business with them. more

It's a winner 3/4/2011

Finally found the cleaners I've been looking for. I was out doing errands and notice the bag of shirts on the back seat. I new they needed to be done that day but it was 9:30 am. All the other clleaners say it has to be in by 9am. I took a chance and went to dry cleaning by dorothys and ask the woman at the counter if there was anyway I could get these shirts today. Without a thought she said yes. I was so happy. When I returned that night to pick them up I was pleasantly surprised that the missing buttons on my shirts have all been replaced at no change. My Dry Cleaners 2/27/2011

I have been using dorothys for 4 years now, it is MY dry cleaners, I love the fact that all work is done on site. the staff is very helpfull, I also like the fact i can talk to the dry cleaner, owner, when i come in, even a presser came out to help with some questions with my suit,it is a nice feeling to know some one really cares about my clothes, when i drop off my new coat or my costly ugg boots i can leave with a good feeling, now that is why it is MY dry cleaners. more

Miracle on Silk.... 2/27/2011

i had a good experience when i visited the store in weymouth as i had spilled wine on a good pair of silk pants and believed that was the end of them...to my dismay, the woman at the counter got the manager over to see if the pants could be saved....after looking them over he advised me to give him a couple of days....exactly 2 days later i received a call to come pick them up....when i arrived i was expecting the stain wasnt able to be removed; however, the stain and any trace of it was completely gone.....\r \r I praised the staff for all their hard work and dedication to someone they didnt even know....i will continue to return my business to them, as i am forever grateful....great people, great service.... more

I have finally found a dry cleaner that does it right. I like the fact that they are environmentally friendly and that they do their own work instead of sending it somewhere. My sweaters have never looked so good. The woman at the front counter is so pleasant too. I've been a dry cleaning customer for years, have tried many and these guys are definitely the best! more

Worst Customer Service Experience in Years 2/9/2010

Mid-November I brought in a winter coat in to have the belt buckle repaired; and if it could be repaired, I wanted to also have the coat cleaned (as I wouldn't wear the coat without a belt). I was told that the job would be complete in a week. I returned and they had cleaned the coat and charged me $12, but had not fixed the belt. I was told they would call me the next day with an update. After not hearing from them, I returned one week later, and was told the tailor would call the next day, but once again no phone call. This went on for eight weeks. (Note: I think the tailor only works two hours a week, as she was never onsite the five or six times I dropped in to check on my belt.) Well after two months, I asked to speak to the manager. I was introduced to a male manager (I am not 100% sure of his name and do not want to risk offending the wrong person , but he had light brown/dirty blond hair and was late 40's or 50), and his only solution was not to offer any apology or honor their -- It is right, on time or free-- guarantee, but instead firmly stated he had to talk to the tailor and confirm that no one ever left me a message and would call me back ""the next day."" This manager seemed very angry/annoyed at having to speak to a customer almost to the point of being confrontational, but in ""his defense,"" it did appear that he had gotten a head start that day celebrating the holidays. Should also mention that the manager stressed that Dorothys had won Best of Boston awards in the past....I assume this was pre-this manager days at Dorothy's or was just that....the past. I decided enough was enough (after allowing eight weeks of poor service and then being questioned about ""My story"") and had them return my belt and went to Shea's on Middle Street Weymouth. Sheas was amazing. They were pleasant, and it took them less than 48 hours, and charged me half of the price of Dorothy's estimate. The Shea;s staff genuinely seemed happy to have my business and enjoy their jobs. Having such a horrible experience with Dorothys, I shared with many and had learned that the down economy has negatively impacted Dorothy's in term of business and service. I should admit the workers at Dorothy's front desk, did seem to care about my situation. Unfortunately, they were not in a position to help, as it appears that the management does not value customer satisfaction/experience. So do yourself a favor!...If you need tailoring or dry cleaning, avoid this place! Pros: Not the only dry cleaner in town Cons: Management & Service Delivery more
