The owner George has issues. Robin is fine and who knows why she puts up with him, but for someone in the service industry, he is a hothead with a chip on his shoulder and treats new customers like intruders. No wonder there is never anyone in there. Not only does he look like a loser, he acts like one. more

I have lived in the area for several years and have become somewhat of a regular here. I absolutely love this place! The owners are super friendly and really make you feel welcome. The bartenders are great at what they do and they're always cheerful. Drink selection is awesome and prices are fair. There's no kitchen there so people usually order food to the bar. But my favorite part about the bar is that its dog friendly! I really don't think that previous posting is accurate at all. I always have a great time here and I definitely recommend this place! This is the worst neighborhood bar I have ever been to. Since I live close to it, I decided to give it a try with a group of friends one Friday after work. It seemed good enough until one in our group was going to play pool with the man who claimed later to be the owner. My friend chalked is pool stick out of turn, which caused this man to fly into a rage. I have never seen anything like it in my life! As a former bartender myself I have seen some people get angry over pool, but I have never seen anything like that over something so little! On top of it he had a six or seven year old little girl behind the bar - a huge violation that the alderman will be sure to know about - who witnessed the whole thing. His swearing and yelling were inappropriate enough as a business owner, but in front of a child, it was even worse. I couldn't find anywhere else to review Taqueria Mr. Salsa, so I thought I would put it here --\r My husband and I got carryout from here for the first time last night and really enjoyed it! The taco dinner plate is a great deal -- 2 tacos (I had pork and chiles rellenos -- both awesome), and rice and delicious beans. My husband got the carne asada dinner which was also very tasty. Quick, affordable, close by -- we'll be back! more
