Dr. Catherine Sonaglia

If Anyone on here has had a bad experience with this Dr please send me info, Im trying to report her to the medical board .she needs to lose her license...……. more

Where should I begin? Well Dr sonaglia is a fraud and is just in it for the$$$,she is never on time or even there for.She did surgery on me in her office on the 2nd floor and she messed me all up and I so trusted her..she has her sister janet taking care of patients for her when Janet is in no way licensed!!!! They r just money hungry and do not care about anyone or who they hurt.Her famous line was she was broke and under alot of stress.she is practicing again in Michigan and she should not be allowed to practice at all.when she left ftlauderdale she just up and left with no notice and a note to her patients on the front door!!! Lasts Please do not let her touch you cause it will be the biggest misteak of your lives!!!! Signed you know who!!! more

I'm not sure where all of these bad reviews are coming from. Dr. Sonaglia has always been wonderful. She found an issue with me that no other doctor ever discovered, which could have lead to a complicated delivery for my baby. I drive from Miami to go to here because the doctors in Miami are horrific. The wait is long, but usually under an hour. Highly recommended. more

Dr. Sonaglia and her staff beat by far the other 10 Gyn offices I have been to. They all make you wait and make you feel as though you are just one more in their day. This practice is one of a kind and definitely not many like these left. Best doctor, best care. I have never felt so satisfied after a medical experience as I have when being treated by Dr. Sonaglia. Be prepared to wait but for outstanding service. Shame on all of the negative remarks people have made about a doctor without regard for them but for "their" experience of her staff. more

So many negatives to say about this office staff and the doctor. They do not care about your health, your time or your money. You wait for hours before you get accepted. And other times if you have an appointment it gets rescheduled again for a month later because Dr. Catherine Sonaglia decided to go on vacation...even if your health situation was time concerning matter. If you have question and concerns to ask over the phone, you cant get through. If you lucky enough to get through, your questions dont get answered. It would take more than a month to get your pap results, not just one time but most of the time. Very unprofessional and unorganized. I can not say anything positive about this office at all. WORST EVER! Switching to another doctor was the best thing I did. more

she is not even worth rating, she does not care about her patients (that is according to her) she only cares about money so she can pay her attorneys. She performs surgeries in her office that the patient does not need, and charges and arm and a leg. She lost her privileges at Broward General due to "under the influence", she is on drugs, so now she can no longer do deliveries. ladies, please get a second opinion before you let her work on you. more

Good: Absolutely nothing.. Bad: The doctor is unobtainable. I was charged a premium price for a pap to be conducted by her nurse practitioner who I even doubt is licensed in any way. I never once received my results until I called to complain. I was charged for blood work and had to call to get results too. I've been to the office for a total of four times and never once was able to consult with the doctor. I was given an appt. to arrive and find the office completely shut down without a courtesy call to let me know otherwise.. Other: I was referred to this doctor by another friend, and that friend by another friend. Neither of these woman are patients any longer and both have similar to worse horror stories than me with this doctor and her staff.. more

I just had to give my input after reading the many responses here by other clients and patients who visit the office. I must say that the Doctor is wonderful, knowledgable and spends a significant amount of time with each patient. In saying that, this is probably the result the delays in her waiting room. I have had several visits to her already for hormone replacement therapy. Each visit, I have waited in the waiting room no less than 2-3 hours waiting to see the doctor. Never mind the fact that unless you have Medicaid they do not bill your insurance, and although you have great insurance, a minimum visit to her can run you between $200-$300 dollars of which you are reimbursed maybe $100, which is usually the maximum payable by most consults to a physician for an hour. (This I must say is pretty sad in itself. Now I do believe that money should not come into play, especially when you feel confident that a physician is the best, but, when offices such as this are run lin this manner, you are left to wonder exactly why you are putting yourself through this when their are so many other physicians to choose from. I would not recommend a visit to this office, unless you have the patience of a saint and lots of money to pay out of your pocket. I have to say, I would probably be better off if I were indigent and had Medicaid. It's a sorry world we live in. Not sure where we are going to end up.But Something has to change with the Medical Profession as a whole. more

Moved down here to FLorida pregnant found her through my insurance company however not covered any more by my insurance she took me in my first visit was already in labor and she took care of me and made me feel at home my first baby and i was only 17 and was really scared and she helped me through it all!! more

Dr. Sonaglia is never in her office because she is always chasing behind her attorneys and her many lawsuits. To some degree you cannot even blame her staff because she probably doesn't even pay her staff and if she does it's not on time. She treats her housekeepers and nannies the same as well. She is a very smart woman and COULD be a good Dr. but she fails when it comes to character. KARMA! more

Never go back there again rude staff, extremely slow (3 hours in waiting room) canceled appointments and will not return calls for basic questions. How these people are in business is beyond me. more

The worst gynecologist I've ever been! AWFUL staff (rude and negligent) and delinquent service. NEVER EVER go there!!! Her nurse ("Dr." Gabe something) was rude to and my family. They made me wait for over 2 hours, charged me stuff I never did (good thing I checked my insurance thing!) and refused to transfer my documents to my other doctor. I only saw Catherine once, for 5 min. When I had to come back and hear on my diagnosis, one of her nurses was the one to explain my situation ("Dr" Gabe) - I had my mother come in with me and she was so rude to her!! I felt disrespected having the assistant tell me about my diagnosis - she was rude when explaining the situation and didnt seem to know what she was talking about. So I changed doctors...and when asking her secretary (who will keep calling you "honey" on the phone) for my records, she got angry at me for insisting (without them I couldn't continue my treatment!) and told me that they had better things to do. My current doctor had to call there and ask herself for the documents. Not to mention the fact that my current doctor was horrified by the inaccuracy of her exams and her disrespect with me. more

Dr. Sonaglia saved my son's life. If it was not for her expertise, dedication, and overall commitment to her patients my son would not be with us today. She cared for me during my entire pregnancy and while sometimes there was a wait time, she and her staff were always polite helpful and compassionate. I have been to many gyns and Dr. Sonaglia's service is the best I have found. EVERY and I mean EVERY Gyn made me wait at least one hour. I will not see another OB/GYN as long as she is in practice. If you are looking for experience, expertise and compassionate bed-side manners Dr. Sonaglia is the doctor for you. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ more

The service is the worst, between them canceling appts on you and the cooperation with the staff on the phone you would think they were trying to do whatever possible to sabotage this practice. I have never experienced a more disorganized office. Nothing ever runs smoothly. I have tried on many occasions and always disappointed in the level of service, which is a shame because Dr. Sonaglia is very qualified and great once you are able to see her. more

When I went for my routine checkup last week, I received no greeting from the Dr. or staff. After sitting for 10 mins. on the couch, the girl at the desk told me that the Midwife had to leave, and they could not examine me today. I asked why they couldn't call me BEFORE I came?I also asked why the doctor-who was sitting in her office-couldn't give me an exam. They said she only does abnormal exams now. Not routine. If you go here for a routine exam, you will NOT see the real DR., and they may cancel on you! more
