Dr. James Romano, MD

After having to call twice to book a consultation (no callback as promised), I arranged my initial consultation with Dr. Romano. (note that unlike any other Doctor I have ever visited, they require a credit card to secure the initial consultation. It is $250.00, rather a steep fee considering that Dr. Mosser charges $75.00, others are up to $200.00).\r Be prepared to have your drivers liscense xeroxed at your first visit -(do I sense a bit of suspicion here or do I just look like a rip-off artist)?\r The appointment with Doctor Romano was fine, and he seems very knowledgable, but a bit distant.\r Then I went to the Patient Care Coordinator's office to schedule surgery dates and get pricing.\r She had not been given good information on what my procedures were to be from the doctor, she seems confused and is unable to give me pricing without consulting the doctor, so she says she will call back. After a day she does not, so I call her - after two minutes it is still obvious it is not clear, so she will need to talk to the doctor and call me back, that was Friday afternoon, today it is Monday evening and she hasn't called. So the saga continues and I haven't even gotten past step one - do I want to deal with this kind of incompetence for the whole surgery process? I think I am seeing the writing on the wall. I am getting out while the getting is good. Pros: Very good surgical reputation, apparently. Cons: chilly receptionist, waited 40 minutes to see the skin care spec. Some staff not well trained. more

Doctor Romano cares so much about his patients. He was the third plastic surgeon I interviewed for my breast augmentation and I chose him because he was the most knowledgable on current procedures and the best listener. His staff is incredibly polite and considerate. My breasts look so natural! Even though they are saline implants they hang well and do not look unnaturally round or overdone. He performed the over/under muscle implant procedure which looks very natural. Not many surgeons or qualified or capable of performing tricky techniques such as this one. He is also a very kind and polite person. I highly recommend him and his staff. Pros: My breasts look incredible! Cons: There are no cons! more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Romano. He explained the procedure to me in detail, I trusted him with the surgery (which I am incredibly satisfied with), and he had a caring bedside manner and supportive staff. If I had any questions or concerns after the surgery, he returned my calls the same day or spoke with me when I called the office. I had no complications or problems at all and I would definately reccomend him to my family or friends. Pros: great aftercare, very informative Cons: waiting room time more

I was very pleased with the care I got there, not only from Dr. Romano, but also from the staff. The wait was a bit long, but well worth the trip. I was served with herbal tea by the receptionist, which I thought was sweet. I found Dr. Romano to be very grounded and caring and answered all of my questions, no matter how silly. His team also came in to talk about what my skincare routine was like and other things I can do without surgery. It seemed very thorough. They weren't pushy or rushed, which I think is a big plus. The nurse took her time with me for my treatment, which has been different than other places I've gone to for Botox and Restylane. I'm sure to return and loved my experience!! How dare they!!! From the begginning I should have known not to go there when the receptionist put me on hold forever, not once, twice but three times. The atmosphere is cold and impersonable. It is strictly business to all the staff there and when you are trusting such important assets such as your face and body to them, I would head for the door if I were you. Go some place else. These people don't even deserve to be rated. more
