Great Looking Lawn 2/13/2012

I have been using Dr Jack's since 2005 and my lawn has always looked great. I have been awarded yard of the month several times in my neighborhood over the past few years. I have had the same technician since my very first service, who knows my lawn and my concerns. During my last service visit I spoke with my technician he told me they were using a new iron product on my lawn and I should see better results. WOW was he right my lawn has never looked better! It's greener than ever!\r Thanks Dr. Jack's! more

Professional and Punctual!! 2/10/2012

I've had dr jacks doing my pest control for two years now, and have been quite pleased with their service. I recently had an ant issue pop up, and when I called they sent my bug guy out the next day. I was running 20 minutes late to the appointment and thought I've left work for no reason now, because the bug guy is probably gone. When I pulled on to my street there he was patiently waiting. I was very impressed that he sacrificed part of his day to wait for me to arrive late! Thank You Dr Jacks for giving me a bug-free home! more

knowledge and value 2/5/2012

I have been using Dr. Jack's for over two years now. They provide equal or better service than my previous big name service provider at a better price. They partner with me to manage the occasional weeds, brown spots, dry spots, and insects. I enjoy regular conversations with my Dr. Jacks serviceman to understand his role and my role in the wanted and sometimes unwanted seasonal changes in my yard. This ensures that our work on any trouble spots is complimentary. Regular written comments provided following my bi-monthly yard treatments are helpful to me. more

Highly Recommend! 2/3/2012

I have used them for over a year and been very pleased with the results. My lawn has never looked better!! Excellent service and reasonable prices. more

Don't Waste Your Money 1/30/2012

I am not one to write a negative review but wanted to let people know they may want to try another company. I've had their lawn and home pest control service for over a year and am not impressed. I will say they have always been courteous and professional- both the office personnel and the lawn and pest guys. However, I just don't think their chemicals seem to work! Our yard looks no better than it did a year ago and I am still seeing more bugs in the house than I should (yes, we keep it clean!). They are great in coming out for follow up appointments, but I shouldn't have to get them out here once a month when it's supposed to be quarterly service.\r Also, when I called to cancel the Dr. Jack's service, they didn't even ask me why I was unsatisfied, which to me shows they really don't care to have us as customers anyway. I recommend looking up other company reviews and trying another place first. You may pay a bit more but you do get what you pay for. In my case I got more bugs and more weeds...! more

Terrible Experience with Dr Jacks 11/9/2011

Just terrible customer service. Dr Jacks has the most pompous, unfriendly people all the way from bottom to the 2 Reinhardt kids running the business. I do not understand how they continue to be in business when they treat customers as bad as they do. If you dare complain, they will quickly tell you ""We have thousands of happy customers"". I guess what goes around comes around .................. more

Good at one time-Not now!!!!! 11/2/2011

It is comforting to see that I was not alone in my horrendous experience with Dr. jacks. They started out terrific and not so quickly showed their true colors. Their technicians did not tell me anything was wrong until I walked my property and saw that there were major problems. They were non responsive so we let them go. I mentioned my experience at work and several other people had the same experience. I would ask around if I was looking for proper lawn care and not go with Dr Jacks. more

Consistent, Reliable, Professional Service 10/26/2011

Dr. Jack's has serviced my home for both lawn and pest service for over 15 years. I have always found them to be consistent, reliable and extremely professional in their approach. They are always timely in returning my calls or servicing my home. As with any yard you will experience issues throughout the year even if you have a service. All I have to do is contact Dr. Jack's and they have someone at my home shortly. I would highly recommend this business to anyone. more

Great Service 10/25/2011

I have been a customer of Dr Jack's for longer than I can remember. Everyone I deal with there is cordial and professional. Dr Jack's has kept my yard in great shape for years and my home free of bugs. I highly recommend their service and plan on using them forever. Being a homegrown company, plugged into the community is a big plus for them. more

Going downhill quickly 10/6/2011

I could not agree more with the previous comments. This once proud company has been run into the ground. They are exceptionally talented at giving you the run around. They are extremely disorganized and keep passing blame among each other (front desk to horticulturists to managers). They do not really care about your concerns when your lawn and shrubs begin to deteriorate. They have a turf replacement policy for insects that is not honored. Avoid starting service with Dr Jacks!!! more

Not the company they once were 9/4/2011

I used this company back as far as 1988 in Lake Mary. My lawn and shrubs were gorgeous. Fast forward 2010. Relocated to Winter Park and moved to a home with an established lawn..absolutely perfect. I kept the same lawn mowing company from the previous owner, and only changed the pesticide/fertilizer company to Dr Jack. Since that time my lawn has gone from one I was proud of to one that makes me sick. I watched the service people come up and not even really walk my property. I had deep concerns over once very well established and helathy sagos and made several calls regarding these plants. They are my favorite plant and after watching the service call people I noticed that noone ever even entered my pool area. I don't know what is going on with them but now my other Robellini and Washitonians palms are dying and it has all been under their watch and this has all happened in a year. They are HORRIBLE!!!!!! more

Earlier this year I had new sod for my entire front yard. The company suggested Dr Jacks to treat the lawn for the first year. I assumed they were good, based on this recommendation, so I hired the company. David came out, seemed to know what he was talking about and we discussed treating ONLY the front yard. Couple weeks ago I come home from work and there is a note on my front door from Dr Jacks, stating the gate to the back yard was locked. I had no idea why they would need to even go into the back yard, my service was front yard only! I call and the manager Dan tells me there is a note on my file that say 1) only treat the front yard 2) call a day before treatment so side gate can be unlocked. I asked him why would they need to call to unlock the gate if they are only treating my front yard? This seemed to stump him, after a pause he said "": I don't know why we would need to call ahead."" So I asked him what number do you have on file? He said ""We don't have a number on file."" So how are you supposed to call me ahead of time if you don't actually have a number to call? Stupidity strike 1! After all that I asked if the person treated the front lawn while the were here. I was told they never continue with treatment if there is a problem until the home owners call. So we discussed them coming back out and never leaving another note about the gate being locked. I also mentioned I had an area of my new lawn that was developing dollar weed and could they do something about it. He said he would put a note on the call sheet to treat for dollar weed. Next week I come home, there is a note on the door, they were here. Some scribble about how they treated for weeds. Within 1 week I had HUGE patches of dead grass all around where they treated. I already has an appt with a sprinkler company and when the guy showed up I showed him the lawn and asked if it was water related. He assured me the problem was chemical related and not water related. he further explained that if it were water related, the entire area would be dead, instead what I have is areas of totally dead grass with patches of perfectly healthy grass scattered between. If the grass was not being watered properly, the entire area would have been dead. So I called and spoke to Dan a second time. I explained the situation to him and asked for him to have someone come out and check the lawn. Now I am worried my expensive lawn is lost forever. I even told him about my conversation with the sprinkler guy and how it was not water related. Yesterday I get home, there is a bag on my front door, with 2 cups inside to measure the water from the sprinkler. There also was a note saying David had come out and the reason for the lawn was not enough water. Not a word about chemical burn. So you see,....THEY LIE!!!! Stupidity strike 2! Last month my water bill was over $1000!!!! I actually had the water company come to my house and tell me to cut back the watering or I was getting fined!! So please someone tell me how do I get a $1000 water bill and a warning from the water company, yet Dr Jacks thinks I am not watering enough!!!! Stupidity strike 3!! They are gone!!! Bottom line: They lie, they are lousy at they work, there are many other companies to choose from. I suggest choosing someone else. more

Horrible. Do not waste your money. 12/17/2009

To make this short, I hired Dr. Jack last spring after having issues with my lawn. I had done some research on the net and thought I may have a specific kind of fungus that attacks the roots of my St. Augustine Grass. When the so-called ""horticulturist"" came out, he assured me it was not a fungus but something else. He drew up a contract, how they'd fix the problem and we started service. Fast Forward 6 months. My lawn looks worse than when these people started. I discontinued service and decided to try and diagnose my lawn problem myself with the help of the county extention office. They dx my lawn with take all root rot and said it had been there for probably a year. They also told me that the lawn company should have dx it, and could have contained it if caught when we called them out. 50% of my lawn is dead. I'm going to sue them. Don't waste your time or money-these people are idiots. Cons: They have no idea what they're doing. more

Dr Jacks / Mr. Hyde 9/20/2008

I do not recommend this company to anyone who cares about their lawn. I am well educated on how a lawn should be cared for, but did not have the time to do it myself. I decided to hire Dr. Jacks and had their lawn fertilizer service for a year. The entire year was nothing but issues. They hire service men off the streets who have no understanding how to use the chemicals. The service men would make a guess on what should be applied to the grass and in the end the customer ends up paying the price. Below are a few examples to support this:\r 1) They said that they service your yard every 2 months, but it was more like 3 (As much as it rains, no fertilizer lasts that long. My grass was discolored and thinning each time they arrived.)\r 2) They applied chemicals on weeds in the hot summer (not suggested by lawn experts) , which burnt the grass and left the weeds.\r 3) They applied a fertilizer made for winter, during the summer months. This usually had no benefit to the grass and I was left having the pay the $70 bill.\r 4) When I called to express my concern, the service specialist would come to my house and say ""I think"" it might be due to this....(""I think"" does not sound like a knowledgeable lawn specialist to me.)\r 5) In the end when I complained to the manager, he could have cared less. \r \r As a result to all of these issues, I canceled my service and went to a much more reputable company.\r \r If you spent a lot of money on sod, please think twice before using Dr. Jack's service. Well known companies like Middleton and TruGreen, had never even heard of this company. Dr. Jacks must not be well know for a reason. Cons: Your lawn is better off with no treatment than with Dr. Jack's more
