I WENT BACK!! I had a terrible headache and he was so great at concentrating on my head, neck and shoulders to work out all the tension, it was TERRIFIC! It released a lot of my tension I was expereicning. I am going back for their leg works special for Sept. Ill keep you posted! more

I've been going to this family-owned and operated day spa for more than 10 years and I love it. Not only are the packages insanely reasonably priced (awesome gifts!), the people are lovely, talented, and wonderfully accommodating. I highly recommend Akiko for facials and Natasha for massage. This place is tried and true. In 10 years, it has remained calm, cool and pristine. The location makes you feel like a princess, as you can look over 57th street from above in your robe. When family/friends visit, I bring them here (if they are good). LOVE it. more

I have been going to Dorit Baxter for nearly 5 years now. Great first time experience for someone who have never had a facial. The staff and Dorit are excellent!!! You are made to feel special from the moment you walk into the door. All your needs are met. The environment is clean and very tranquil. Their salt scrub is to die for. Their facials are one of the best or the best that I ever had. Great skin analysis. You are left feeling refresh after a visit to this spa. They even do prenatal massages which i had the luxury to have during a visit in October. You can call anytime and they will try to fit you in. Even got my sister hook. more

My sister introduced me to Dorit Baxter as a birthday gift 2 years ago and it's been my favorite ever since. That was my first time at a spa but it wasn't my first time getting a facial. It was love at first sight. I got the sea salt scrub, which is phenomenal. A facial (which I only get done at Dorit Baxter now), and a one hour body massage. I left the spa so relaxed that I didn't do anything for the rest of the day. Lol. Not only do I love Dorit Baxter, but their facial products are the only ones that have worked best for my skin. I have gone to DoritBaxter before and just went back yesterday! Everyone there is professional and personable. My massage was amazing, I could of gone for an extra hour! I also received a facial, my facialist was great, she recommended treatments that I can do at home for up keep at home. The prices are great, and they are always have package specials. I will be back to Dorit in the very near future! more

I was introduced to Dorit Baxter Spa by a friend who strongly recommended it. I went once and understood. It was a great experience, reasonably priced; a sanctuary inside the chaos of manhattan. I went back a second and third time, stressed and tight, and left relaxed and at peace. I decided to buy 7 massage/facial clients for my clients/family/friends. They have been great gifts. The place is super nice and accomodating even when i decide last minute to drop in because i'm in the area. Definitely look no further. more

I was given a spa package as a gift from my father who won the package at a charity auction donated by the Dorit Baxter day spa. I was excited for my day of relaxation, but had no idea how wonderful the whole experience would be. The staff was so unbelievably nice and welcoming- Dorit and Yaffa couldn't have been nicer! The services were top notch. I left feeling renewed and rejuvinated. I will absolutely come back to this spa!!! more

I just had a massage mani pedi done for one of the cheapest prices you will find on the east side of manhattan without lacking service and quality. I read reviews of the reception being rude, I didn't get that experience at all. they were very nice just busy. I had vanessa for my massage and while the massage wasn't anything to rave about I did like and very much apreciate the fact that she asked me if I had any problem areas to focus on and she focused on them and I walked out in less to almost no pain now. so that was a plus. Now on to my favorite part. I wasnt too keen on the fact that their mani pedi stations were just bowls of water on the floor and mani stations that were cheap and pulled from the corner but that didn't matter at all when rebecca did the best job I have ever had on my nails and feet. I couldn't believe that with such a lack of "lusterous stations" that she managed to do so wonderful. She has true talent and I will definately see her again for my toes and nails. Oh and I forgot to mention the only reason why I got this so cheap, the person at reception told me of the special! since when do spas offer you a cheaper price for more? I felt that to be very honest and great customer service. I will visit again. more

I went to Dorit Baxter for a Full Day Chill out. I was so pleasantly surprised and left feeling like I was born yesterday. I had no waiting time at all! From one service to the next like they were all waiting for me. more

This is my very very favorite place to be on almost any day. The services are superb and it's an incredible value! I would ABSOLUTELY reccomend it!! Do a package! Take a girlfriend (or boyrfriend) and spend the day! more

I have been going to this spa for several years. Although the front desk staff or owner's aggressiveness may put you off upon your entry, they have some talented staff members who give great facials and massages. I have had treatments from a couple of different staff members that were not great, so I only go to one person at this spa. I think she is the best and really does a wonderful job. My one complaint is the dressing room, as it is used as a coat check, towel storage and a unisex changing room. It can become overcrowded and depending upon how busy the spa is there can be a lack of privacy. more

I get facials here every few months. Honestly, I feel like it keeps my skin youthful. The service is great and they always have amazing deals. I'd definitely recommend. more

Once i got a gift certificate to Dorit Baxter SPA for my B/D from my husband, i fell in love with the place, the massage and the facial were amazing,i couldn't keep it to my self, so since then i give gift certificates to all my family and friends on their special occasion,and the best thing is they do the same.I highly recommended more

i had an absolutely amazing massage. i've had a bunch, but this was seriously one of the best ever. my girlfriend and her family loved their massages also... turns out one of the masseuses is "well known" within the dance / ballet community, which was perfect for my gf since she used to do ballet is having some pain in those same core leg muscles. and her mom LOVED her facial... she couldn't stop talking about all the different things they did, and how amazing she felt afterward. overall, a VERY enjoyable and successful experience for everyone more

Sometimes even New Yorkers need a "time out" I found a great place that's easily accessible. Had a wonderful massage and would go back again. more

Dorit Baxter Spa gave me the best swedish massage I ever had. The Spa itself is also so soothing and open, with huge windows, it is so bright and happy. I will definitely be going back :) more
