Paid them for a new steel roof.... you just assume they will come back and fix their own mistakes......nope!\r Bottom line - If you request for the owner of a company to contact you to discuss the issues with a brand new roof, and he does not have the decency to call you back - THAT!! says it all about a company! \r \r The matters raised by my comment have been resolved and settled pursuant to a settlement agreement executed on May 30, 2013. more

I have had a few experiences with Don Kennedy Roofing. They have repaired a roof on my old home as well as replaced the roof on the home I currently live in. Both times our expectations we surpassed. They drove nails through my walls and roof. They did 80,000 dollars worth of damages. The are not covered by their so called insurance because the do not follow protocol insurance requires. I have never seen such gross negligence. They even brought out a fake adjuster. They are in breach of contract, faulty workmanship and fraud. more

Do not use Don Kennedy roofing! We had them come out and look at our roof because we had water damage in our living space. They told us we needed to replace the flashing around our fireplace. It seemed a little strange as the water damage wasn't near the fireplace but we believed the. As they are the ""professionals."" I also asked if perhaps we needed a new roof as almost everyone in our neighborhood was getting one due to a severe storm this past spring. They came out, replaced the flashing and were on their way. We hired a painter to come out and paint our ceiling since we assumed the roof was fixed. Two weeks later it rained and what do you know the water spots were back. We called Don Kennedy Roofing, finally someone came out to look at the roof. The worker was in my house less than 30 seconds when he said to me "" no way is that water coming from the flashing."" he got up on the roof and told me we needed a whole new roof. SHOCKER!!! We called Don Kennedy, even spoke to Don himself explaining our situation and he promised us he would send so done out to have the roof replacement quoted. We told him that would be fine but we were also going to have a competitor come out as our insurance co. Asked for 2 competing quotes. Long story short after multiple weeks and countless calls no one ever showed up. Eventually we gave up because we needed to get our roof repaired to minimize the water damage on our ceiling. we filed a complaint with the BBB. It's gone no where as now Mr Kennedy is changing their story claiming his worker never said we needed a new roof. We are out $1200+ since Mr Kennedy refuses to refund our money even though he did not fix the problem we paid him to fix. Don't use these guys. There are a bunch of other companies that will do the work and stand behind their product. more

It has been my expericence with this company that Don Kennedy does not care about his employees,nor the quality of work that is being done.It is all about making the money for himself and family. Use another roofing company...work is better and is certainly alot cheaper. more

Don Kennedy Roofing repaired a leak on our roof and provided a 1-year warranty. Our roof started to leak again in exactly the same spot in less than 1 year. When we asked Don Kennedy Roofing to repair the leak, they refused to honor their warranty. more

Only a couple of years later and my roof is leaking and my warranty ((that you need a PHD in contracts from Harvard to read)) is no good, and I have to fork over thousands of dollars to Don Kennedy again. Looking elsewhere or maybe I'll just let my roof turn into a sunroof on its own! MAD MAD MAD BOILING MAD! Pros: polite Cons: rips you off more

I have had several roofs done by Don Kennedy so I immediately thought of this company when I needed a new roof on my home. The salesman was prompt; and the bill arrived before the job was completed; the job no. Huge delay which dragged it into Christmas, literally! Three workers with whom I could not communicate. Worked into the night so you can imagine the clean up. The nail through the shoe was the final straw. I wrote Don Kennedy after paying in full more money than I Knew another roofer would charge, but experience led me to believe it was worth it. Mr. Kennedy responded by calling and he was most polite. He too agreed that they had let me down. He stated he was going to come see me. Well, it has been several months and no Don Kennedy. I should have know when they did not put their sign up in the yard, the truck looked worse than my van, the supplies were in the yard forever and it took a month from start to finish. Did I mention they left a huge hole in the suffet. and a piece of trim just laying on the roof. I really debated writing this because I know that things can happen, but it seemed once Mr. Kennedy felt safe I was not going to make a fuss I was once again put on the back burner. I will say his follow up crew to do corrections were concerned and polite. Hope this helps someone else to look further. I know that I will when I put on the roof on my commercial building. I have a sunroom attached to my house. The roof is fairly flat and was leaking. The roof was only 4 years old (done by another company) . The crew from DKR came out and fixed it! It has been over 2 years now, still NO LEAKS.They had to undo some of the old poor workmanship from the previous company. DKR was polite and fair. I NEVER post comments but i had to after disbelieving the post by rippedoffbydkr. I checked with the BBB about DKR they are clean! Pros: Great Job at fair price. more

Their roof estimate was 20% more than most other roofing contractors.They convinced me of their quality workmanship. They couldnt have been more wrong. First rain..leaks in several places. Completely demolished my bushes from the tear off. Never called when they came out. Just overall terrible work. I have seen storm chasers do better work.
