Worst

If your idea of a great time out is being treated rudely with little regard as a customer. If you like waiting too long to be treated poorly, then by all means go to Don Cuco. ...

Pricier than most, but worth it. 5/25/2004

The margaritas are pretty good. Food is amazing. Compared to other sit down Mexican places in the area, Don Cucos beats them all. Their prices are a little steep, but are everything is so tasty. Tortilla soup is the best weve ever had. Black beans and beans de la olla are incredibly good. Our favs include any of the enchiladas, fish tacos, carne al pastor and there are so many good things here, you cant go wrong. The long waits are annoying and bar area is pretty small. Its too bad they cant expand. Pros: Superior mesican food, Tortilla soup!, great interior Cons: , expensive more

Great food, even better margaritas 5/13/2004

I've been going to Don Cuco since I was a little girl, and I think it's the best Mexican restaurant in L.A. The margaritas are strong but good (I wouldn't have more than 2-3 unless you have a big tolerance!); the food is good and the portions are big. The cheese enchiladas, the beef taco, the chicken fajitas and the grilled shrimp burrito are the best things on the menu, but it's all good. It's a great neighborhood atmosphere, very popular among the locals, so the wait gets long especially on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. So go early or make a reservation. Pros: big portions, great margaritas, inexpensive Cons: long wait more

Awesome Menu and Drinks 3/13/2004

make sure to go to the original 4 locations which the original owner still owns and oversees. over 90 different items on menu! great cadillacs. know people who've been going there for over 15 years! great place to schmooze or just eat well with friends. highly recommended!!! Pros: THE DRINKS!, large selection, friendly fast service Cons: , wait on weekends more

Not impressed 11/9/2003

I do not get the draw this place has. The food is not very good at all. The drinks are fine, but nothing special. Certainly not worth the long wait. I keep giving this place chance after chance but I am done with it. Don't bother. Pros: ok drinks Cons: food, crowded more

rudy and rich 11/7/2003

From the desert to the sea, from the mountain to the plains...you just cant beat Don Cucos..the staff is sooo friendly and the food is great. Not a bad place to chat with a Star or two also....I think Willie Nelson never misses when he s in town. Dont pass this one up......24 year customer Pros: great food, excellent service , ambiance Cons: parking is tough , sometimes a wait, nothing else more

Great Mexican Food, Fantastic Menu Selection 12/15/2002

I have to laugh when I read some of these reviews where people have only given them 1 star. Especially the one that couldn't rate the food because he was to busy trying not to die due to slow service and a long wait, hilarious! I have been eating here at this specific location with my family for more than 20 years now and have never experienced or witnessed any examples of these negative complaints that some people claim, yes it's possible but I feel that it's unlikely. The service has always been at least much better than average and the food has always been great! Yes they do get very busy and this will slow things down some but no more than any other busy restaurant. They do have a very large menu selection and if you read some of the other reviews that rate this place what it deserves, there is truth to those accounts. They make their tortilla fresh and serve more than ample portions for the price. For those that like alcohol with their meal, they have all the popular brands of beer and make some killer Margaritas. Don Cuco's is definitely my first choice for Mexican food in Burbank, hands down! Pros: Exceptional Menu Selection, Great Food, Ample Portions, Reasonable Prices Cons: Dinner hour crowded, Wait for seating when busy, Parking can be horrible more

Great Ritas! 7/10/2002

Great margaritas and cheap to boot! The wait is a bit long most every night of the week, but a great variety of food and the bar is quite fun. more

Best Mexican Food 6/2/2002

Best Mexican food ever. Best Margaritas ever. Margaritas are made with Cuervo Gold and they don't skimp. All food is prepared fresh and tastes excellent. Dimly lit and perfect for that first date. Show up early..this place gets packed really quick. Pros: To much to list Cons: Nothing more

A Great Mexican 5/26/2002

In contrast to Casa Vega, which is more about the Margaritas, Don Cuco's is all about the food. Huge selections of seafood, chicken and beef dishes mean you'll never have to try the same thing twice. But chances are you'll want to, since the food is across the board good. Margaritas aren't that good, and the chips can be a little stale at times, but shrimp dishes are fantastic, as are the combos. Pros: food Cons: margaritas more
