Had to share my experience. 3/19/2011

I never seek out to write a review concerning any establishment. The only reviews i give out are word of mouth. In addition, i have the utmost respect for people who work in the retail and service industry!! Now about my experience at D. Camaron, this was my 3 visit and probably last. Sat afternoon with a friend and not busy, easy order 2 of the same dishes..35 mins later it arrives...after a few inquires....the woman that took our order wasnt interested in stopping by ever again....food was okay more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 9/21/2010

So overpriced and the food isn't even that great. The only redeeming quality is it's open fish store in the back. The fish is really fresh. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 11/18/2009

I've been driving past Don Camaron for years, yet this is my first time eating there. I always had the impression that this was a bar, and probably served food as an afterthought. Finally, however, I gave it a chance, and it was an unexpected and pleasant surprise!\r \r Don Camaron has a wonderful mix of Peruvian, Colombian, and Caribbean food, with an obvious focus on seafood. The interior reminds me of Loggerhead, but brighter and cleaner... it's a mix of nautical flotsam and jetsam. The wait staff was attentive and efficient, although communicating in English was a bit labored.\r \r I had the Peruvian seafood fried rice, which was a very nice mix of calamari, scallops, shrimp, fish, clams, and crawfish, over an authentically prepared soft, large-grain rice tossed with bean sprouts and vegetables. The dish provided me with leftovers for lunch the next day.\r \r One refreshing difference: Don Camaron isn't just another seafood place that fries everything!\r \r I will definitely return to Don Camaron to further sample their diverse menu. The dishes being delivered to other diner's tables looked delicious. more

WORST MANAGER 6/8/2008

The worst restaurant that ever visit ed in Miami. The manager doesn't care about customer satisfaction. We were waiting for the dishes like 30 minutes and we coudn't order an extra dish, because the ""kitchen was closed""the waitress said. We asked for the manager.. the waitress said this: "" he is cuadrando el dinero "" (very delicated),and he is not going to show up"". So we insisted to see the manager and finally showed up. We believe that the only think the manager takes care, is count the money . Does the owner know he is loosing clients, because the manager wants to close the restaurant asap to go home????????? more

Excellent Seafood at reasonable prices..............cool place 3/6/2008

Found this place on the way to the airport several years ago.........great food/service. I recommend to all my colleagues. more

Good food, service and atmosphere. 6/18/2007

Very lively atmosphere. The food is good and reasonably priced. (10$ to 16$) per plate. The paella and the fried fish are very tasty; however, the shrimp caserole (Enchilado de camarones) could be better. If you seat outside, you may find the music to be too loud. ( The speakers are right in front of you and full blast) Pros: Cheap good food. Cons: Very loud music of you seat outside. more

Best Pargo Frito 10/25/2006

I like to say when a please is great and this is one of the best. You go to fish market select your Pargo (Snapper) and they deep fry it to my taste. A little bit of lemon and a cold corona. You don't need anything else. Pros: great food Cons: you have to be in miami more
