Highly recommended 7/22/2011

I LOVE Doghouse Computers! I have dealt with many other local computer repair shops, but Doghouse is by far top rank. I have a number of computers both PC and Mac, and regardless of the question I ask or the product I ask about they have always been professional, courteous, and honest in their suggestions for new products or reconfiguring with the items I currently own.\r \r Many other shops have a tendency to speak to me in a very condescending way, not realizing that I do know quite a bit about computers (even if I am female), and try to con me into things I do not need--such as trying to sell a computer used for gaming (costing a minimum of $4k) after I state need it for business. Another laughed at the notion of using one monitor for multiple computers, trying to convince me that I would need a new monitor or "personalized service" involving a consultation fee for coming to my house to assess my needs. Fast, Friendly and Saved My PS3 7/22/2011

I can't say enough good things about DogHouse. \r \r When our PlayStation 3 completely stopped working, other shops basically told us "tough luck" and tried to sell us a new one. Someone told me that DogHouse repaired gaming equipment, so I called them. They understood exactly what I was talking about and told me to bring in my PS3.\r \r I was afraid they'd tell me it couldn't be fixed, but they called the next day to say it was ready and waiting. \r \r The guys there were friendly and seemed more interested in fixing my PS3 than selling me a new one. That repair easily saved me at least $300. \r \r I'd recommend DogHouse to anyone. more

Do Not Use DogHouse Computers! 3/10/2011

This place is horrible, and non customer friendly. My mother took them a laptop, that had some issues booting up. They gave her some outlandish price to fix, pretty much the cost of the laptop, as it is a 6 year old laptop. She declined over the phone, and they told her it would be a couple of days before they would have it ready, as they had all the screws out, and hadn't gotten around to putting it back. She told them don't worry about, as I(her son) would put it back together(thinking it was just a few screws out of the bottom). I got it later that day, and that laptop was completely taken apart, I mean the screen wasn't even attached to the bottom part(the keyboard) anymore.(Everything was neat but still.) I took the laptop back up there, in the box they gave it to her in, and asked them to put it together, not even an hour later. The guy at the front shrugged, and said if I even tough this, I'm going to charge it the 75 diagnostics fee. Are you serious? She just left an hour ago? more

Will always use this place! 5/10/2010

I have used every shop in Clarksville and these guys are the only ones who took the time to explain everything and how I can stop my computer from crashing out again. When my nephew re-installed a program and crashed it out 2 WEEKS after getting it repaired, these guys totally worked with me to get it fixed again. AWESOME customer service. more

UNPROFESSIONAL AND DANGEROUS 5/9/2010

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE customer service...My husband needed a USB port replaced on our laptop. We had seen DogHouse computers and decided to try to support a local business, as opposed to the big box stores like Best Buy. At first the staff seemed friendly, said it would take 3-4 days turnaround. After not hearing anything back for a week, called and were told their vendor sent them the wrong part, they would send it back and be another 3-4 days. (Which if the vendor made the mistake and DogHouse didn't order the wrong part, why wouldn't they overnight it to keep the customer happy?) Four days later, we are calling again to check on progress.."someone will call you back in 5 minutes" No callback. Call again the next day, same run around. Told them we would be at the store when they opened in the morning to pick up our laptop, fixed or not. They assured us it would only take 10 minutes to fix. Arrive the next morning, still not fixed and told us we could take our laptop more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! 4/6/2010

Tried to hold my laptop hostage despite me already paying all costs- Informed me that I would have to pay them $75 if I wanted my OWN laptop back after attempted repair! After 20 minutes of arguing, they returned my laptop to me in 1000 pieces in a large rubbermaid box. \r \r Terrible business and bad customer service. Will warn EVERYONE I know! Never again!! more

Dog House Computers will try and con you 11/22/2009

This place will steal your money. I brought my computer to this store to install a new DVD-ROM. The price was reasonable $100.00 for this, so i took a chance with these people. The installation was done quickly, but when i got home with my tower, it no longer worked. I took it back to the shop where they looked at it, but could not find the problem, so they wanted me to leave the tower there. I thought, ok, something minor happened, no problem. Then the person told me it was another $30.00 to leave the computer there. So in fact it was $130.00 for a working DVD-Rom installation. I argued that this was a backdoor fee they were trying to pick up and after several minutes of arguing, he agreed not to charge me for the diagnostic. Now I knew that without paying the fee, my computer would sit on a shelf forever before they got around to it, but the guy told me if they didn't get to it today (friday) he would personally look at it tomorrow (saturday). Great business 9/8/2005

I am very pleased with this business. When my computer tore up again, I called around for prices. What they quoted me was very fair. Later on I called them again to see if they purchased computers, and they were going to give me a very good deal on a used computer. They sell them as well. The phone staff is very helpful and friendly, and I think they are a great place to start your search. more
