Came home to a mess! - Ridiculously low level of service 12/9/2007

We've just returned from a weekend away to discover our apartment full of dog mess (three intances). While there are notes left indicating the required 6 visits were made, either this service chose to leave dog mes where it was clearly in plane sight or simply did not come regularly to visit, instead leaving notes to make it appear they had. One mess was picked up, but it was disposed of in the Kitchen trash can?!!!!! You DO NOT dispose of dog feces inside a person's home! It is clear the mess that was left has been there for a day or more. We'd left only minimal lighting on, and came home to most of the apartment lights blazing! We'd shut the bedroom door to ensure no damage was done to the bed - and discovered this left open when we returned home. We'd made special mention in our interview that it should be kept shut. I am furious and this service will receive a less than happy call from me today. I expect to be refunded my ""annual membership fee"" at a minimum and will be demanding my keys be returned immeditately! more

Worst Pet Service In Town! 5/11/2007

This service twice neglected to walk my dogs when they were supposed to but, that did not stop them from charging me! In addition, they once showed up at noon for a morning walk when they committed to a 7 am walk! Doggie Day also has a nasty reputation of losing people's dogs. My neighbor had this happen to him but thankfully, he found his dog. Cons: Highly irresponsible. Has a history of not showing up and of losing dogs. more

Bad Bad Doggie day 12/22/2006

They don't seem to walk my dog although that's part of the daycare service,they tell me they do,but I keep the webcam on at work and check intermittantly and I 've never seen them take her out. They call it a playcenter ,but don't toss around dog toys regularly . One time my dog was sick,so I couldn't bring her in ,they still charged me full price. So what that implies is they don't care if someone brings in a sick animal who could carry the germs to your dog.They are very difficult to reach by phone.And when I pick up my dog ,I've seen daogs escaping from the playroom ,and run towards the front door,a few times. The only reason why I still bring her is I haven't been able to locate any other place yet. more

I agree that they started off well when I started using them last year, but have gone downhill since. Once they showed up several hours late, after I was already back from my trip, but even though they ignored my complaint about it, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt...but I just went away again and a friend who stopped in twice said that they hadn't come when they were supposed to, but left notes as if they had. Plus their computer system is always going haywire when I try to use it. I'm going for a smaller operation next time. more

unreliable and unhappy 4/7/2005

I had used them serveral times and at first they seemed to be doing a good job but the last few times they were missing visits. Once I was home and they never showed for the appointment. I called to find out why and customer service gave an answer like they didnt want to come a disturb us while we were home. I had paid for the service however. On one of the scheduled appointments they lost my house keys and called me on my cell after I had gone out of town to inform me they lost my keys. I had to frantically make arrangements from out of town to get someone into my home to take care of my dog. They did not call with any apology. I had to call their offices numerous times only to get an automated response and no call back. more

unfulfilled promises 12/24/2003

I'm with gbcarl. At first, I thought they would be great because they are so flexible with the scheduling. But they promised a 1-hr playgroup appointment at 12pm, the girl didn't arrive until 3:20pm and only took my dog on a 15 minute walk, even though I paid for the full hour. As an explanation, she said they were understaffed. If that's the case, then they shouldn't promise what they can't deliver. Their wanting to make a profit resulted in less personal attention to my baby girl. Cons: expensive, unreliable more

Not for my pet!!! 12/22/2003

On 2 separate occasions, (including day one) NO ONE showed at all, so a 12 week old puppy was left all day in it's crate. They are suppose to leave a report card for each visit, but on a couple of occasions that was not done, so I'm suspect they didn't show(this isn't rocket science). One day I was home, the girl showed up at 2:45pm for the 1pm visit. His next visit is suppose to be 4pm(an hour later) All this is suppose to be part of the ""puppy"" crate training program? I think you'd be better served by a smaller organization, they are too big and disorganized. Don't let the slick Promo materials fool you!
