I was referred to Dog Abby after having terrible experiences at another daycare in Park Slope. When I went to check out the facility, I was in love. I love that there is the option to play outside, instead of just running back and forth in a room. The owners have built a studio, so someone is there all night and they check to make sure every dog that enters Dog Abby has a great temperment. Also, there are playsets for the dogs to climb and run all over, and kiddie pools in the summer to cool off in. My dog is a very sweet dog, but definitely likes to play. At other facilities, he would come home with abrasions and would be put in time out for no reason. However, when he comes home from Dog Abby, he is abrasion-free and exhausted from playing all day. I recently had a family emergency, called to see if they could house him for a couple of days. They said of course, and my mind was at ease knowing he was there. I didn't worry once, which was so comforting in an upsetting time. Deb and Britta really care about the dogs, as well as their staff. Thank you, ladies, for treating Deacon like your own.
Pros: Great space, staff cares about dogs, my dog loves it!
Cons: Wish it was within walking distance, but worth driving to.
