Bubba's favorite doc! 3/24/2010

I have read all the reviews about Dr. Dixon's dry attitude and seemingly uncaring personality. I beg to differ. He has straight out with compassion told me things that needed to be done to my pet because that was the most HUMANE thing to do for my pet that I loved so very much. Without his advice, I don't know if I could have done the right thing for my furry loved one. Before you pass judgement because someone doesn't stop and cry and give you all kinds of mushy sympathy, think about the things he has had to make decisions on in his career. How many times has he left important family times to be there with you and your pet in such a difficult time. Would you have done the same? Many of you would say " of coarse I would've". I can't believe all of you that say that, I think many of you would not have answered your phone! I guarantee he did though!\r God Bless you Dr. Dixon, You have helped our family through more than I can count the situations with our cat/dog members of our family wi more

Vet Service- No Nonsense! 5/8/2009

I have a dog, and 3 cats. They have all received good care .\r Dr. Dixon has an abrupt manner, but he obviously knows his animal care. And I would have to say that animals are good judges of people, and my animals trust him. more

Affordable Veterinary Service 2/16/2009

We have 3 cats and a dog and this clinic seems to offer as good care as any. They seem to be reasonable on fees and offer straight forward advice and service. When we took them a stray cat that we had been feeding and found out it was dying, Dr Dixon laid out our options, but did not offer grief counseling as he shouldn't. His assistant is very nice, but some may say he is a little dry. Dr Dixon seems to be competent though and so far I am satisfied with the service I have received. more

No bedside manner 9/18/2008

After my cat was mauled by a dog, my neighbors rushed her to Dixon's animal hospital on Western Ave. The dog entered my yard by jumping the fence to get my cat that never ventured out. Anyway, I arrived home shortly after and rushed to the nearby Dixons. I was greeted with Dr. Dixon telling me that it was Saturday, he had a football game to go to and I needed to make a decision SOON. After confirming with my vet via phone what needed to be done, I unfortunately had to put my cat down. To add insult to this already horrible situation Dixon never did offer any help to me his only concern was how quick he could get this overwith. I heard from others afterward that he was forced to take the practice over from his father, I do not know for sure if this is true. However, why would I won't to take my beloved pet to a man who seems to dislike them so much. Renee more
