We opened in 1983 from the ground up, and everyone knows us as the restaurant with the green roof on red stilts. We strive to provide our guests with the best quality and value of food, service, and traditional d?cor. We pride ourselves as a local family-run establishment that welcomes visits from groups with multiple generations.
A Taste of the Islands Any Chinese restaurant worth its MSG really ought to have cocktails. And not just any cocktails. We're talking fruity, parasol-wielding concoctions that lean less towards alcohol and more towards coconut and papaya. For some reason, not every Chinese restaurant chooses to follow this pseudo-Polynesian route, but Ding How does?and with delicious results. Go for the food if you must, but get a drink, if only just to see it served in a ceramic pineapple. Fair Fare In other areas, Ding How isn't quite as stellar. The plant-filled entrance, complete with babbling brook, gives way to a somewhat disappointing dining room with bright lights and too close tables. The food is unremarkable, but certainly better than the typical San Antonio Chinese buffet. Still, the tofu came slightly too well-done and the sauces were at times overbearing.
