Dick's Dog Wash Inc

Before my comment I would like to tell the Girl with the sick dogs, Ive raised and showed dogs my whole life, and if your Dogs got the staff infection from dicks it would of rashed Immediatly and your dogs probly walked all over prior to dicks dog wash, so how can you be sure they got it there? uasally its caused by walking in they own poo, misty grasses outside with other animals droppings. Staff Infect, can be caused by too many things and places, and the dog wash is constintly being washed with soaps from prior washes, that would disinfect that area! and 2 dogs? thats rare! But any how!!!!\r \r I have lived near Dicks my whole life, And was always fearful of letting ANY GROOMER near our show dogs (we raise and show Wolfhounds) And If they messed up 1 hair, the dogs would be disqualified from shows,\r After recently moving into a smaller home In BrookPark, it became to hard for me to bath these large dogs, so I went up to Dicks Dog Wash (right around the corner) and talked to them about how important it was to groom them exactly as I say..So I decided to take one of my pups to them. (5 month old 75pnd) \r Few hours later and very worried, I WAS very supprized:) they did a better job then I have done and she smelled and looked great, they even took it upon themselfs to use a safe and sensitive shampoo and rince on her coat at no extra charge (also gave her her own bandanna) This is what a Professional Groomer should DO, And to know what is best for each certain breed, I was really happy and glad that they knew there types of breeds and the special needs and conditions some breeds may need. We recently moved into a home with stairs and our puppy will not come up the stairs so we needed to find an alternative to give him a bath. I told my boyfriend about this place that I pass all the time on my way to school we should check it out. So we loaded puppy into the car and headed for Dick's dogwash, what a waste of a Saturday afternoon I could hardly speak to the woman working there with all the birds squawking that's right a room full of squawking birds, my puppy starts shaking and whimpering, my boyfriend says yeah this isn't going to work he is terrified of the birds the woman was like well maybe you could a vet to tranquilize him, I said NO I think we would be better off going somewhere with no birds she says okay well this has been an issue before but the owner won't listen. CRAZIEST Experience EVER!!! more

My weiner dog likes this place! Its one of the only places he will actually walk into without having a fit! He lets the girls there cut his nails with minimal problems! No other services used there yet, but so far so good! more

I have a very mean Persian cat that needs groomed and they have always done an EXCELLENT job with him! My sister get's her dog groomed there and has never had any problems. Pros: professional staff Cons: small space more

I have 2 dogs that i took to Dicks's for a self serve bath. Two days later both of my dogs had a staph infection caused by something in her shop. I called the owner to make her aware of the situation and she argued with me that it could have never been something in her shop that made them both sick. My vet had disagreed with her and did contact her to let her know that. She did not think it was fair to repay me for my $300 bill for the vet or for the $40 i spent at her shop for the baths. I would not recommend this place for anyone who wants to keep a healthy dog. Pros: can bathe your own pet Cons: its not the most classy place i've been more

After a very bitter and long fight over the price that I used to pay for my dog with Sheila.who we loved and payed 35.00 for our small mix to be groomed and then found out the new groomer if that is what she is charges 50.00 and then she ended up cutting the tip of our dogs ear we dont recomened dicks. steer clear Chop Shop more
