I'd rather go to Wegmans, and the gelato stinks . . . 10/20/2006

Not only does Wegmans have better cheese selection, but the DiBruno employees are often not-so-cheery. I work near the newer location so I drop in for lunch occasionally. I've seen and tasted better dessert selections elsewhere, but the one thing I don't understand is why they serve the slop they call gelato. They bill themselves as high-end "gourmet" but this gummy stuff is a far cry from what I had in Milan. It's flat in a pan, so that's an "F" for presentation too! Stop in for a sandwich or whatever, but like I said, skip the gelato and hit Wegman's for your cheese selection. In fact, as far as gelato goes, either Capogiro at both Sansom and Rittenhouse or Dolce Crema over in Moorestown, NJ have the best gelato in a 100 mile radius, hands down! more

Great Cheese & Olives!! 4/17/2006

I try to visit here when I go back home to Philly about 3 times a year. It is fairly new, maybe 2 years old, but is as good as the old DiBruno Brothers located in the italian market. It is much larger than the old one, here you will find a great variety of products of the best quality. If you like good cheese, olives, olive oil, delicatteses, bread, salami's and chorizos... this is the place to go. You will be in good hands. Here you don't have to wait that long to get what you are looking for like in the old place. Two thumbs up. more

Fine foods.... 10/3/2005

DiBruno Brothers has a new location on Sansom between 17th and 18th and it is amazing. The have the best of everything.the gelato is phenomenal. If youre looking for items that you cant find at the grocery store, DiBruno Brothers is the place to go, they have a huge selection of cheeses and other imported goods. The desserts are always a crowd pleaser and they now have prepackaged salads and sandwiches that are great for lunch. more
