The Worst Customer Service!!! 5/13/2013

I do not recommend them for any dye job. I had a new jimmy choo bangle bag treated so that it would resist stains. It didn't help and when I brought it in for cleaning, they said it wouldn't clean well so they recommended dying it. They dyed it and the color was awful (pinky beige). I paid for that dye job and asked them to dye it brown. When I picked it up it was very splotchy and they said it couldn't be avoided. I had to pay again and still was not satisfied. I only used this purse a few times and it was now relegated to storage as I wouldn't use it as it was. I finally found a source, Tulsa Leather, who was able to dye it a solid brown. When I went back to Deno's to voice my dissatisfaction, they were arrogant and rude. I've been a customer of theirs for 10 years and will never be back! more

BEWARE, expensive and Horrible Customer Service 6/29/2012

After getting selected as "people's choice" I thought I would give it a try to get my boots fixed. I usually don't write reviews, unless I think others can benefit from it. I was quoted, over the phone, $10-12 to get my boot's fixed with new rubber on the soles. I had my husband drop off the shoes and he asked how much more it would be to get the toes fixed. They never answered him, so he said he was just interested in getting the heals fixed. They said they would call him back, and we never heard from them. Everytime I tried I would get a busy tone. Then when someone answered they said it would be $40. I explained what we were quoted and they said they would get back to me. A fews days later with no response, I called and finally got a hold of someone. They explained they cofirmed with my husband that he wanted everything fixed, including a shine and they would never fix without consent. Well, the only consent they got was to fix the heal and ended up fixing everything and more

Impressed with problem resolution 5/7/2012

I took a pair of shoes in for service to Deno's. When I picked up the shoes there was a problem with the service. However, I was very impressed with how the company handled the resolution. I will use Deno's again for my high end shoes. Pros: null Cons: null more

Should have been a simple repair, but they ruined my shoes! 8/7/2011

They ruined my beautiful Italian bespoke Erte sandals! The person at the counter nodded and said she understood. But instead of putting a new bottom layer on the HANDMADE STACKED LEATHER heels, the heels were completely removed, discarded and replaced with a blob of solid rubber. For which they charged $20. My hardly worn, top of the line designer shoes now look like I bought them at Payless. I wouldn't even trust Deno's to fix this mess. How dare they throw out part of my shoes? Sloppy and stupid is how. Beware! more

Voted best Shoe Repair in Dallas by D Magazine 7/26/2010

Votes by Park Cities People as the Best Shoe Repair, People's Choice Awards 2010\r \r Voted by D magazine and it's reader, Best Shoe Repair in Dallas- 2010\r Deno?s of Highland Park \r If you ask anyone around town where to go to get your shoes repaired, they?ll say Deno?s. But the store will also take care of your not-so-expensive shoes, your about-to-be-thrown-away shoes, and even your purses (really, they?ll take care of just about anything you need repaired). And the customer service is always impeccable. We wouldn?t trust our little red soles to anyone else. 62 Highland Park Village. 214-521-1070.\r \r Readers? pick: Deno?s of Highland Park more

Best Service and Work 7/15/2010

I took a few pairs of my shoes in as well as my daughters school shoes. I was told they would be ready in 1 week. When I picked them up, they looked great! They also called to remind me to pick up another pair of shoes that needed extra work. Very happy with them and I would use them again! Why pay more money to buy brand new shoes when you can have Deno's make them look like new again? Especially during this economy. Also, the girl at the front was super friendly and helpful. Pros: Quality!! more

Replying to Terri B. complaint 5/15/2010

To TERRI B.: If a customer is not satisfied with the quality of our work we are happy to re-do the job. Our utmost concern is getting the job done to the customers satisfaction. In this situation, you waited a year to bring back the bag, and informed us that you had someone else correct the problem before we even knew there was a problem. We have been in business 53 years because we put our customers satisfaction above all else. In this case we were never given the chance to correct the problem. more

Deno's Of Highland Park Shoe is unacceptable, expensive 11/2/2009

I took a very nice leather bag into their shop to be cleaned. Estimate given was $50 and I pointed out the spots that I thought deserved extra attention. When I went to pick up bag (after having to call myself to check on its status), it looked as if nothing had been done to it. I was told that to spot clean (since they said they had already cleaned and buffed the bag) it would be more money, which I was not told a month ago when I dropped the bag off at the shop. This is the second time I have felt like I have been taken advantage of by this store. I thought the first one was a fluke, but clearly not. I will now take my bag some place else to have it cleaned for the fall and I will never go back to this store. The salesperson made me feel like I was over a barrel -- either pay more money to have it done right or leave. I have had friends who have had good experiences here, but two strikes is enough for me. more

The Best Shoe Repair in the Country!! 2/25/2009

I have lived in Atlanta, NY, and LA, and have used the top shoe repair shop in each of those cities. Without a doubt, none of them can hold a candle to the outstanding work that Denos of Highland Park does! I take great pride in my shoes and handbags so I like to take care of them. Denos is the only shoe repair place I have been to where I get the sense that they care about their work as much as I care about my shoes. The staff there is very nice and helpful. In fact they are so good that now several of my old friends in Atlanta and NY mail me their shoes to have Denos work on them. I don't blame them, if I have to move again I plan on doing the same thing!! Keep up the good work Denos!! Pros: Great staff who take pride in their work. Cons: It's a busy place so there is usually a line. more

Avoid Denos Shoe Repair 1/4/2009

Please avoid this shoe repair shop. They are overpriced, have bad service, but more important have very little skill in shoe repair. If you have expensive shoes, don't take them here for repairs. more

Avoid Denos Shoe Repair like the plague! 1/3/2009

If you don't want to have your shoes butchered, avoid Deno's. Then Deno owned the place it was great. The people that manage it now work of an owner that bought it and is not on site. It is basically the most expensive and worst place in Dallas to get shoes repaired. The destroyed a pair of my Aldens and my wife's boots. They they yelled at us for bringing this up. I gladly moved on. Please avoid our pain! Pros: Nothing Cons: They ruin your shoes, not fix it. more

Ruined a pair of $770 pumps!! 11/28/2008

Said they were able to replace the soles of a pair of Christian Louboutin 5" heel pumps. The sole job was okay, but they had to cut part of the bottom arch area to be able to...The problem I had with this is the quality and craftsmanship was poor and has come apart for the FIFTH time already in less than a month and half. I had returned to get it fixed free of charge, but the hassle and not being able to wear my shoes much in the past month and half because they have been in the shop is ridiculous. I'm worried they are goig to try to ruin the shoes even more if they cut even higher in the arch. Cons: Ruined a pair of shoes they claimed to be able to fix more

Deno's Shoe Repair is the absolute worst 11/23/2008

Deno's Shoe Repair is the absolute worst. Don't get fooled into using them because of the nice address. They are not the original owners and basically a "chop shop" for leather. I am writing this as they have basically destroyed two pairs of shoes, an Alden pair of shell cordovans ($650 gone), and a pair of John Lobb balmorals ($1250 gone). They put grooves into the shoes which cannot now come out, instead of polishing. The manager there told me "that's the best he can do, sorry". No refund or offer to help. Avoid this place, I later found out from friends they have had a similar experience more

EXCELLENT JOB AND EARLIER THAN EXPECTED 11/21/2008

Deno's shoe repairs is what I was looking for before I went there. He did a very good job at a reasonable price. I got my boots repaired earlier than expected. more

looses customer objects 6/23/2008

About two month ago I brought a ladies bag and a pair of shoes to the store for repair. One week later I returned to the store to pick up both items. The shoes were repaired, the bag could not be found. Pros: good quality work Cons: looses customer objects - no indication of real customer care more

Great job! 2/14/2008

Deno's has been in the HP Village for a long time. Always a very fair price and friendly, hometown service. I have had my shoes done there along with my leather jacket. Never been unhappy!! more

They're the best 11/29/2006

At the referral of Gregory's at Galleria Dallas, I took a pair of $300 boots to Deno's to have the shaft taken in (it was too wide). The work was flawless and was done in under 2 weeks. It costs about $45-$55 to have it done, based on the material. The staff is polite and attentive and they take pride in their work. I take all of my boots there for alterations and care. Pros: Excellent service and workmanship Cons: It's in Highland Park Village and traffic is a monster. more
