Delancey Street has it all! 3/31/2010

Delancey Street is a great organization and they have a wonderful restaurant. I went here with my family for dinner and everything from the wait staff to the food was wonderful. I ordered the peppered Ahi tuna with wasabi noodles and it was delicious! I had never had anything like wasabi noodles before and I really enjoyed it. This is a great place to come before games at AT&T because it's so close and inexpensive. Pros: Great concept and good food more

Great food, great service 3/9/2010

The concept of Delancey Street is really wonderful and the entire dining experience is a pleasure. At lunch, valet parking was only $3, the place setting was linen, the waiter was excellent, the food well-presented. The dishes we ordered were perfectly prepared and the prices were unbelievably low for San Francisco. more

Delancey Street Restaurant is a relaxing place to stop. 10/5/2009

A great place to stop and relax and have a cup of coffee and something to eat. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Great bagels. It is so nice to sit out in the courtyard while the kids play in the garden. more

Great food with a reasonable price 8/2/2009

this is quite a respectable restaurant, though you may not feel it the first time you go there. the service is friendly and the food is no-b/s american burger and sandwiches. don't expect too much though for ambience since the price is reasonable and you'll leave happy having a delicious juicy burger. Pros: friendly service and good food Cons: worn out furnitures and carpet more

Delancey Review 12/26/2008

Delancey Street Restaurant has delicious food, great eggs benedict and great service. The whole dining experience is very enjoyable with the Pacific overlooking the restaurant. more

Disappointed 11/9/2008

Brought 12 friends/family to Brunch (celebrating a 15th birthday) Service (at least our waiter and the unfriendly host) left ALOT to be desired in all aspects. Most of the dishes ordered were okay, one wrong order and several lukewarm. They were completely oblivious to the birthday which I cannot say about other restaurants whose staff has always participated. Not that it mattered to the 15 y/o but in comparison to other establishments. Hope your experience is better. more

A must go to Restaurant when visiting San Francisco 10/15/2008

Most of us know that living or working in SF can be awfully pricey when it comes to dining. Well look no further as this is a great place to eat. They have the best steak sandwich I have ever had. Not only is there food great the price is ridiculously cheap.. Where in SF can you go have a steak sandwich for $6.00. There whole menu is under $10. They are a full service restaurant and Bar. If you ever go to the ball park you must stop in to Delancey street for a bite to eat. I can promise you that you will not be sorry you did. more

great place to go in the City, good food and service, low prices 2/5/2008

good food and an outstanding value, very nice decor, great views and outdoor dining, great service, nice people making a change in their lives. everything on the menu is good, great for large parties and won't break the bank, hot fudge sundae is super!! our favorite place in the City Pros: everything Cons: none more

Wonderful experience! 10/12/2006

I've seen Delancey Street Restaurant for a long time now, and finally tried it out. It was beyond my expectations! I love that the restaurant is tied to the Delancey St Foundation, too. The value of the food was phenomenol -- 3 beers, an appetizer and two full entrees for about $30! Beyond the value, the food itself was delicious and satisfying. What I also liked about the restaurant was how warm and comfortable it felt. The atmosphere is truly one of relaxation, the service friendly and attentive. This is a great place to take a date, a group of friends, family, and anyone you know who is a picky eater: the menu is very diverse! Definitely a keeper. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere; good, simple food; friendly service; nice views of the bay more

Great Service, Great Food, Great Cause 6/8/2006

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened and have always been delighted with my meals at Delancey Street. This place combines the refined, polished ambience of a restaurant overlooking the embarcadero with the prices of a cafe, at lunch most fare is under $10, dinner is under $15. My fiance and I come here for romantic milestones and I have also brought big parties and reserved one of their private rooms. They make a tasty Rueben at lunch, and the oak fired ribs with collared greens and sweet potato pie is a classic! Dont miss out on the orange chocolate creme brulee if you have room. more

WE NEVER GOT OUR FOOD!! 6/7/2006

After decieding to take some friends to dinner on a Saturday night, we entered the restaurant placed our orders, and waited. After about a half hour, we realize our food was not ready yet. We asked a waiter what was the problem, he went to check and didn't return. We had to ask 3 times to get "your food will be right out" from the waiter, another 5 minutes went by and no food!! All this happend while people arrived 20 minutes after us were getting their dinner. At this point, we were running late for a show, and got up and left. Nobody even offered an apology or to tell us what was the problem. A horrible experience!! Pros: Great if you like to not eat Cons: No Service, no food, no help more

Amazing 4/7/2006

The food is uniformly oustanding and interesting. The ambience is friendly, nice and yet not pretentious. One can dress up or down. For what you get, it is a great value. I take everyone here. Plus I feel like I'm helping the community at the same time. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in the City. Pros: Food, Service, Ambience Cons: Parking sometimes more

Great Neighborhood Restaurant - Hidden Find 10/2/2005

A friend and I happened to eat brunch here this past weekend and I was impressed. As a foodie, I love trying out new restaurants and this one is a keeper. The wait staff did an excellent job, the food was very good, the prices were beyond reasonable and the restaurant itself has a great view and atmosphere. Who needs overcharged cuisine and snooty service when you have a gem of a restaurant right on the waterfront in SOMA. I had heard about the restaurant's story which I find interesting and a great idea. I will definitely be back! Pros: food, location, wait staff more

AWESOME brunch/breakfast foods 5/19/2005

I daydream about the Belgian Waffle at Delancey Street Restaurant on a regular basis. Pros: Incredible Brunch, Very nice waitstaff more

Wonderful 2/20/2005

It was and will be again my main spot to dine in San Francisco. Everyone was attentive and not stuffy. It felt like I was among old friends. Best bang for the buck. Pros: Staff, Price more

I hadn't had service that good in awhile 9/7/2004

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is GREAT! The view is amazing and the staff is very attentive. I didn't even know the place was staffed with ex-cons. I always took clients there for lunch at my former job. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, even my lovely picky Mother. Pros: Great staff, Great view, Great value more

great, great, great 4/4/2004

service was friendly and professional, food was fantastic, and atmosphere is super - especially on the patio on a sunny day. and it's such a great cause. what more can you ask for? more

Very professional service 3/14/2004

I had a very positive experience with the food and service at this restaurant. In fact, I'd have to say that the service was above average even for a cityrestaurant charging twice as much for entrees. We went on a Sunday night and fewer than half the tables were occupied, but there were plenty of servers on hand. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but quite passable considering the price range. Pros: service, easy parking, inexpensive more

Awesome 6/24/2002

I was a little leary because of the mixed reviews on Citysearch, but then I went and had my dinner. DAMN, this food is good. The story behind the place is cool, but the most important thing about it is that the food is straight up good. Nice that it is so close to Pac Bell without feeling like a sports "themed" restaurant. I can see going back with family and friends as well as on my own for a quick bite. Pros: food, selection, service more
