I have been meaning to write this review since October! That is when I went to see Dani for a cut and color. First of all, she is so cool and so much fun to talk to. She knows this city inside and out and shared her top picks on everything from restaurants to workouts to the best place for botox! She's a girl's girl. Most importantly, my hair looked amazing when she was done. The highlights were fantastic and the cut was so good, that even now, months later, it looks fresh! The layers were perfect, she kept my length (which was important to me) and found just the right color for me. I have found my hair stylist! Thanks, Dani! more

Went in to see Dani from a friend's recommendation. I've always gone to Beverly HIlls to have my hair done before but my stylist is on maternity leave so I needed a fill in. Okay, the salon is not BH, more NY loft. Dani is AMAZING!!! Her prices are a bit high, but she is so worth it, and she gave me 10% off 1st time in. Soooo, I have to confess, my base and highlights are even better than before! she blended a few darker pieces in so that the grow out won't be so bad, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my haircut! Still long, but with movement. She showed me how to style it and told me if I needed any changes there wouldn't be a charge to come back and adjust. I'll come back, but as a regular client!!!!! From reading the reviews which were really helpful, I thought I would finally find someone who would make my hair just as I wanted it. I would leave the salon feeling great and happy with my hair. Considering the price I paid, which is very expensive, I thought it would be worth it. Well, the conclusion is that it was just okay. I went in to see Dani because she is talked about every other review. She is so nice and makes you feel like you will look for further to do your hair. Her personality is great but it stops there. My hair turned out just okay. It did not turn out the color we talked about and the haircut, which was also very pricey was also just okay. I am still searching for that someone when I leave, I am completely happy with my hair. They talk the talk and walk the walk. So, if you want to go to someone who has a wonderful personality but just an okay job, go to Dani. more

I love this place! It's amazing and I like the music they play. All the staff are amazing. and always plays great music. They are miracle worked when it comes to hair. When I went in there my hair was completely fried, silly me had gone to a bad place to get it done. They totally turned it around and I left with fabulous glowing locks. more

I've now been going to the same stylist for a while, and she is consistently AWESOME. I always love my hair (I said LOVE) and she's really really fun to spend an hour or two with shooting the sh#t about life as well. For those of you who don't read yelp, this is what I wrote about my favorite gal at Dej Salon after the first couple times there: After 25 years of getting my hair colored/cut, I have found a stylist that really KNOWS and LOVES her craft and my hair has never looked BETTER. For the past few years, I've been having a problem with gray hair coming in sooner than I would like around my hairline. She not only found a base color that completely minimizes that effect, but she pulled a little ""trick"" out of her sleeve (a color effect just for my hairline) that both looks beautiful and totally covers my gray. I am so, so happy with my color I can't even tell you. And then the other day, she gave me the best haircut of my life. I've never been able to keep my hair long, due to the shape of my face... I always felt like long hair really dragged me down and that I just couldn't wear my hair too long. Again, this adorable, spunky miracle worker came up with a cut that involves layering and other little tricks, and now my hair has volume, movement, and looks FANTASTIC long. I've never been happier with my hair and the responsible party is called DANI. more

I went to Dani to get my hair colored and highlighted. When she was done I cannot tell you how good it looked. She is the best. She knows how to take care of her clients. I love her. So happy with her work. Real professional. Love it more

Hey everyone, I have to let you know that you have to go to Natali. Natali is the most amazingly talented hairstylist i've ever encountered. She is a miracle worker with color, by far the best colorist in LA. We always do different things to my hair. At the moment I have blonde higjlights, but we've gone from brown to red to blonde to natural light brown with blended highlights and it always comes out unbelievable. Natali is not only good with color, but she know how to cut as well. Dej salon is a great salon as well, it has a cool vibe with good music and very relaxing. I don't mean to ramble on, but go to Natali she's by far the best stylist I've ever been to. more

After getting my hair cut and colored by Heather at Dej Salon, she will be the only person I trust in LA! I've visited her a few times since...getting everything from a cut and blow dry to a Brazilian blow out. Not only are her prices affordable for even me (a college student) but the service she gives is top notch :) I would highly recommend her to any one of my friends! more

Favrile has been my hair stylist since I moved to LA 9 months ago. I love my hair more now than I ever have! She has turned me into an LA woman, as my friends on Facebook say. Damasque is a great stylist, everytime I go to her my hair looks perfect and everyone asks me who did it. All my friends go to her now when they really need to look right. My whole life I had long hair and I felt the need for a change. I'd always get compliments on my hair about how long and beautiful it was, but I always felt that there was something missing. Once January came I had this idea set in my mind that I wanted to start the year out with a bang. I drove three hours thinking 'This better be worth it'. I had been referred to Synade, a hairstylist at Dej Salon, and being that it was my first time at Dej I wanted to start off small and get highlights. I chose the color caramel and the results were WONDERFUL and the service was great. I got the brazilian blowout, my hair felt so soft, silky, and had a great healthy shine to it! Plus the color was so vibrant and I got SO many compliments, and my self esteem went through the roof. I would strut down rodeo, knowing I'm turning heads. After going to Dej for a couple of weeks I completely trusted Synade with my hair and decided to cut it into an asymetrical bob. My hair was so healthy and the cut was so beautiful SO many people asked me if my hair was a wig when I would reply 'No' they would ask me where do I get my hair done and I would proudly say Dej Salon in Sherman Oaks. more

I decided it was high time to get back to my ""roots."" I live in Jersey and heard about Dej Salon in Sherman Oaks and in partricular Dani. I made an appoinment and flew in over Memorial Day weekend. I met Dani and she expertly transformed my damaged bleached out hair into a rich dark mane. My boyfriend loves it. I'm getting so many compliments. I should have done this a long time ago! She told me how to take care of it..so easy and on top of everything was an absolute pleasure to talk with...a really good person. Very rare. Ladies and gentlemen, here's the deal. Now you know it is hard to find a hairstylist that you trust. You have to get with Synade! She can do African American, Hispanic, Caucasian...any type of hair! Even if you don't know what you really want and just want a new look....Synade will hook you up with a great style!!! She is sweet as can be and knows what she is doing! The Dej Salon is in a great location and is a very nice facility. Everyone is very friendly! \r I'm sure your schedule is crazy busy but Synade will be available to you! After having way too many bad salon experiences its so refreshing to be able to say that I've found someone who I TOTALLY trust with my hair. The first time I got my haircut with Dani, she asked me a few simple questions about what kind of look I was going for and she went above and beyond anything I ever could have hoped for! I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair. She is a total professional and is very passionate about what she does. She put so much care into that first cut, I knew I was hooked. And I'm so so particular about my hair! I just moved to New York and I've been looking around Manhattan for somebody who could reproduce one of my Dani cuts and nobody, I mean NOBODY, measures up. I literally have to wait to come back to LA to cut my hair with her! And on top of her skill she is just such a sweetheart, and so pleasant to see and interact with. I whole heartedly recommend her!
