Deluca's is a typical diner located down in the strip. They close at 3pm on Sundays so make sure you're there in time or the wait staff will not be pleased--not that they seem overly pleasant to begin with. I recommend this restaurant if you're hungry for breakfast but do not want to get dressed up for brunch. The food is good--especially for the prices. Don't expect much out of the staff though. Some places should not have an exposed kitchen! The menu does not offer anything unusual except for breakfast. I recommend the buckwheat pumpkin pancakes or the breakfast burrito. If the Steelers are playing, they will be decked out in support and have the game on TV. more

Waffles 9/29/2005

This place is a great place to go for breakfast. they have more toppings for waffles and pancakes than I have ever seen anywhere. It is amazing. They have good food, huge portions and great prices. They have great bread here. THis is the perfect place to start you Saturday of shopping in the strip. more

This place may not be much to look at but do not be fooled. They have a wide variety of breakfast items. They serve some more unusual items such as coconut pancakes and waffles. They serve the best fresh Raisin toast. They also have omelets and several types of meat. Even with a wide selection of menu items they are very willing to make substitutions. They staff are very friendly and seem to enjoy working here. They have been nicknamed the best Breakfast in Pittsburgh. I might agree. They even will substitute egg whites for regular eggs for a minimal charge. As always the coffee keeps coming and the servings are huge. Give it a try. more
