I have been going for awhile and I continue to go for dr kirwin, and how close they are.but their billing is very suspect,I understand mistakes, but it's been a few too many. When I am there I am amazed at how many people think the billing girls are pet they have no clue about the dog food differences.go to the website of the dog food manufacture.I mau change vets and I may not,one more attempt at a double distemper shot and I'm out of there good luck and good night Pros: dr kirwin Cons: front desk ,inexperience more

Day Heights Veterinary Clinic 11/23/2008

We actually live in Liberty Twp. and drive all the way to Milford for this vet. I love the office staff. Everyone is friendly and actually appear to like thier jobs! We made the mistake of taking our first puppy to Petsmart, which was like the Wal-Mart of Veterinarian clinics! They only cared about making money, and actually would recommend vaccines and products that other vets will not even use! I found this clinic by searching the reviews on this site and I was so happy I switched. He spent so much time going over things about our Golden's history and things she may be predispositioned to. I never once felt rushed out of the room. At times, due to the distance, I had considered looking for another vet. I could not bring myself to do it because I love this office so much! It is just too important. It is quite hard to find a vet these days who are honest and do not recommend tests and vaccines that your animal doesn't need just to make extra money. It is a big deal if you come into an emergency where large amounts of money could be required. And with this clinic you can feel comfortable that you will be paying for exactly what was needed and nothing more....that makes me feel good about our vet! Pros: Caring staff, terrific veterinarians, nice and clean office Cons: For me...only the distance from my house! more

Treatment OPTIONS, Great Service, Friendly Staff, Great Prices HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5/23/2008

This clinic is great! I have two cats and a dog and have always been satisfied with them. They do not charge for last-minute cancellations. Their prices are very reasonable and you are always given options for treatment based on your price range and pet. The service is friendly. Wait times can be lengthy, but I have yet to find a vet where that is not the case! They spayed my cat with great success! They did not use the disposable stitches, as she is a little neurotic. The stitches stayed in until she was completely healed- never busted open like they may have if they were disposable, as she chewed on them alot. When she was ready, they cut them out and the cut healed perfectly! They have good emergency service. When my new dog got into the sugar, the vet called me promptly with instructions of what to do. I love this office and will only ever use a different one if I move far away. Pros: Options for treatment methods, fair rates, caring staff Cons: difficult parking, long office waits more

Dr. Kirwin is the best Vet I've had the enjoyment of taking my dogs to. 3/26/2008

Dr. Kirwin is phenomonal. He listens to you, he shares his knowledge in a way you can understand. He gives you the best treatment with your dollar in mind. He knows that in todays society, people cannot afford to pay top dollar for pet care. he knows vet service is a luxury. With that in mind, he wants to keep his patients healthy and keep the owners happy. He knows if he charges an insane amount, then peopel will stop taking their pets to him, or stop taking their pets anyplace at all. And since he doesn't want that, he wants all pets to have the best health care, he keeps his prices low. And most of all, he is great with the animals! He is young and energetic and obviously very knowledgable. We have taken 3 dogs to him, one of which did not survive a severe illness. But he was great and concerned when we went through that and referred us to the CARE center. He will sit and talk to you as long as you want about your pet and your concerns, he is not ""all business"" and in a hurry to shoo you out the door like many other vets.He is reassuring when you're concerned for your pets health, as we were convinced our new pound puppy had canine distemper. He said he doubted it, but that he could test for it if we wanted. But he wanted to save us money and not do something unless absolutely necessary, which it ended up NOT being necessary, and our pup recovered after an overnight stay there. I've only seen him with dogs, and he is gentle but firm with them, and he'll always compliment you. I'm sure he has bad days, but I've never seen one from him! The staff is also great. They communicate well and are very good at their jobs, which can be demanding and dirty. I'd reccommend him and the Day Heights Vet Clinic to anyone! And just for reference, I am a vet school dropout. I've worked with many, many vets over the years, and he is by far the best I've seen. he could easily be rolling in the big bucks at a high dollar hospital, but he stays right in his little Milford Office. Pros: Everything, Dr. Kirwin more

Amazing service and value, very compassionate Vet and staff 12/9/2007

We have four dogs and as you can imagine we visit the vet very often. Dr. Kirwin is a great vet and offers excellent advice and keeps in mind your budget. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. After visiting several vet clinics in the past, this is the one we are staying with for good. Highly recommended. Pros: Great staff and excellent Vet (Dr. Kirwin). more

Caring staff and Doctors 11/12/2007

A very compassionate and caring staff. Dr Manharth, an associate is probably the most compassionate vet I have met. She is inteliigent, sensitive, and personable. It is very evident that she loves animals. Two years ago, she made a diagnosis of liver disease on my 7 year old male border collie. I was referred to the CARE Center for treatment. Dr Manharth consulted with the specialists and stayed very involved with my dog's treatment. Although he only survived an additional 5 months, I'm grateful for the love and care Dr Manharth and the staff gave to ""my boy"". Dr Manharth was honest and very compassionate when the decision had to be made about terminating life. Thank you for your compassion, concern, and excellent care. more

Great Care, Deep Knowledge 4/10/2007

We started taking our dogs to Dr. Kirwin after we were not 100% satisfied with our previous vet. On our first visit, Dr. Kirwin diagnosed our eight-year old mixed breed with diabetes. He fully explained what we could expect and worked diligently with us to find the proper treatment for our dog. Pros: Excellent diagnosis, Great explanations to owners, Deep knowledge more

Great young vet, who understands we are not made of money 3/9/2007

We switched to this Vet. after having gone to another local vet for years and I am glad we did.Dr. Kirwin is a very smart man and you can just tell he aced college. He speaks with you in detail about your pets and gives you all options for treatment. He also understands that we are not made of money but that we do want to take care of our pets. We have a doberman puppy and a 8 year old Golden retriever. He seemed to know a lot about both breeds of dogs.My husband went with me the last time and he even said he felt welcomed there ,he liked the time and knowledge of Dr. Kerwin and didn't feel like they were ""TRYING"" to find a way for us to spend money.I was skeptical at first because he is a young vet, but you can tell that he really likes what he is doing and he's very smart and practical. Pros: Nice staff, Very Good , knowledgeable Vet. Good prices Cons: Getting in and out of the parking is crowded, parking lot is small more
